One insidious company just admitted something terrifying

Gatekeeper institutions are tightening the screws.

That’s why the establishment went nuts when Elon Musk bought Twitter.

Now one insidious company just admitted something terrifying.

People have slowly come to realize that Big Tech companies are not harmless.

Now they’re learning that these companies in many ways are in bed with domestic and foreign governments.

TikTok, arguably the most destructive of all the social media platforms, is owned by a company under the thumb of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

TikTok admits Chinese employees have access to user data

And TikTok just admitted that some employees in China have access to user data in the United Kingdom and other countries in Europe.

BBC News reported that “Chinese-owned video-sharing platform TikTok has told users that some of its workers in China have access to data of accounts in the UK and European Union. The social media giant said the ‘privacy policy’ was ‘based on a demonstrated need to do their job’. It has come under scrutiny from authorities around the world, including the UK and US, over concerns data could be passed to the Chinese government. Earlier this week, a US official called for the app to be banned in America. TikTok said the policy applies to ‘the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland’.”

The CCP exerts control over all Chinese companies, so it’s no surprise that Chinese employees have access to data.

China is notorious for deploying spies around the world, particularly in American universities, and embedding tech with spyware.

Elaine Fox, TikTok’s head of privacy for Europe, explained in a statement, “[W]e allow certain employees within our corporate group located in Brazil, Canada, China, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States remote access to TikTok European user data…Our efforts are centred on limiting the number of employees with access to European user data, minimising data flows outside of the region, and storing European user data locally.”

But it’s hard to believe any company that’s backed by the CCP.

A Wall Street Journal investigation showed that the American version of TikTok showed users videos of debauchery and hard drug use algorithmically, even teenagers.

Meanwhile, the Chinese version of TikTok ensures that educational videos go viral but culturally degrading videos do not.

Fox added that TikTok employees were “subject to a series of robust security controls and approval protocols, and by way of methods that are recognised under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).”

Considering what is known about TikTok and the CCP, her words are not terribly comforting.
