The Deep State had one plan for the records that could expose everything it did to Donald Trump.

FBI Burn Bags and the Crossfire Hurricane Records Kash Patel Was Never Supposed to Find
In May 2025, then-FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino went on Fox News and dropped a story the mainstream media buried.
Bongino told viewers that Kash Patel's team had discovered a hidden room inside FBI headquarters – a secret SCIF that did not appear on any building blueprint.
Inside: burn bags stuffed with classified records from the Comey era, pulled from standard FBI records management and stashed where no one was supposed to look.
Bongino said the records were connected to Crossfire Hurricane – the FBI's Trump-Russia probe – and that whoever stashed them there did not want them found.
"We found it in bags, hiding under Jim Comey's FBI," Bongino said. "You're going to be stunned."
The FBI told U.S. District Court it processes records from that room – now called the "burn bag room" – at a rate of 500 pages a month.
There are more than 2 million pages in that room.
At that pace, full disclosure arrives in the year 2184.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton did not take it lying down.
"American citizens should be outraged the FBI just told a federal court judge that its stonewalling means it will take 158 years to release the 2 million weaponization and lawfare records in its secret 'burn bag' room," Fitton said.
"The American people need to know today how the FBI was used as a political weapon against Donald Trump and other innocents."
Judicial Watch is asking Judge Friedrich to allow a limited deposition of FBI officials – pressing the bureau on who discovered the room, who had access, and how two million pages of classified records ended up in burn bags instead of standard records management.
The FBI is opposing that request too.

Court documents confirmed the room contained twenty file cabinets split into two categories.
The first batch: legacy files tied to two closed historical investigations.
The second: active investigation files and Special Counsel records – including materials connected to Jack Smith's prosecution of Donald Trump.
There is also a safe inside the room the FBI admits it has not opened yet.
Director Kash Patel confirmed his team found a classified annex to John Durham's report inside the room – a 29-page appendix never made public, which sources say contains intelligence showing foreign warnings reached U.S. officials before the FBI ever launched Crossfire Hurricane.

The FBI has run this same stall before.
Judicial Watch spent years litigating the Crossfire Hurricane files – grinding through court orders until documents surfaced that Fitton says prove the Trump-Russia investigation was a political operation from day one.
Those burn bags hold what comes next.
The FBI has already been ordered to disclose how many high-level internal communications exist about handling these secret documents.
The next status conference is August 3rd before Judge Friedrich.
Tom Fitton put it simply: these records are more important than the Epstein files.
