The Left has been hyping up the bogus threat of right-wing domestic terrorism since the Trump presidency.
Under Joe Biden, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claimed that right-wing extremists were the biggest threat of domestic terrorism based on manipulated evidence.
The Biden regime is laying the groundwork for a major government crackdown on conservatives using threat of domestic terrorism as a flimsy pretext.
Now evidence from an FBI whistleblower alleges that the agency is manipulating the domestic terrorism to fit the Biden regime’s narrative.
The whistleblower claimed that the FBI is pushing agents to reclassify cases as “domestic violent extremism” despite little evidence.
The domestic terrorism numbers are being “padded” to inflate the threat of domestic terrorism to play up the threat.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is demanding answers from FBI director Christopher Wray about the agency’s efforts to “juice the numbers.”
“From recent protected disclosures, we have learned that FBI officials are pressuring agents to reclassify cases as ‘domestic violent extremism’ even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification. Given the narrative pushed by the Biden administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous,” Jordan wrote in a letter to Director Wray.
“We have received accusations that FBI agents are bolstering the number of cases of DVEs (Domestic Violent Extremists) to satisfy their superiors. For example, one whistleblower explained that because agents are not finding enough DVE cases, they are encouraged and incentivized to reclassify cases as DVE cases even though there is minimal, circumstantial evidence to support the reclassification,” Jordan continued.
Jordan said the whistleblowers told him that the FBI is encouraging and rewarding agents to label cases as DVE.
FBI agents are under pressure to classify cases as DVE to hit performance metrics set by leadership.
“According to whistleblowers, the FBI uses these metrics to dispense awards and promotions,” Jordan explained. “Every whistleblower has called it an environment of ‘pressure’ within the FBI.”
FBI Director Wray testified last year that the threat of domestic terrorism could increase because of the 2020 election.
By playing up the threat of domestic terrorism, the Justice Department can use it as a flimsy pretext to target conservatives.
This comes as the Biden regime is pushing to give the Justice Department and Homeland Security more power to crackdown on alleged domestic terrorism.
With the GOP expected to take control of the house after the midterm elections, the FBI’s abuse of power will be in Jim Jordan’s crosshairs.
