Jasmine Crockett built her career calling Republicans racist.
She’s never been afraid to make outrageous accusations.
And she turned that weapon on her own party – and the Democrat civil war exploded.
Jasmine Crockett Accused Democrats Of Racism In Texas Senate Primary
Crockett's tied with white Democrat James Talarico in the Texas Senate primary.
"The thing that's not normal is for me to be attacked from the Left," she said at acampaign event.
Super PAC ads are darkening her skin.
"I look at this specifically as a civil rights lawyer. I've seen that sending out ads in darkening my skin, I am just like, I know what this is," Crockett said.
She's running on credentials, not race, she claims.
Those credentials: comparing ICE to slave patrols, falsely accusing EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin of taking Epstein money on the House floor, mocking Texas Governor Greg Abbott's wheelchair by calling him "Governor Hot Wheels."
Now her own party's using racial tactics against her.
Bowen Yang And Liberal Elites Told Donors Not To Back Crockett
Former Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang told his podcast listeners: don't give Jasmine Crockett a dime.
"Don't waste your money sending to Jasmine Crockett. Do not do it," Matt Rogers said on Las Culturistas.
Yang agreed: "I must agree."
Rogers said if Beto O’Rourke couldn't win Texas, Crockett doesn't stand a chance.
Both apologized days later after backlash.
Crockett responded: "I really do think that the host said the quiet part out loud, which basically was: If a white man couldn't do it, then why would a black woman even have the audacity to think that she could?"
Colin Allred Called James Talarico Out Over "Mediocre Black Man" Comment
The civil war exploded when Colin Allred – who was running for Senate until Crockett jumped in – posted a video accusing Talarico of calling him "a mediocre black man."
TikTok creator Morgan Thompson claimed Talarico said it in a January 12 conversation.
Allred went nuclear: "I understand that James Talarico had the temerity and the audacity to say to a black woman that he had signed up to run against a mediocre black man, meaning me, not a formidable, intelligent black woman, meaning Jasmine Crockett."
He endorsed Crockett: "Don't come for me unless I send for you."
Talarico called it a "mischaracterization." Said he only called Allred's campaign method mediocre.
Republicans are eating popcorn.
Senator Ted Cruz posted about the "D on D" action.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee boosted Allred's video everywhere.
Stephen Colbert And CBS Rigged Texas Primary For James Talarico
Stephen Colbert sat down with Talarico for an interview but never aired it on TV.
Instead, Colbert told his audience Trump's FCC censored him.
This happened the morning early voting opened in Texas.
Talarico raised $2.5 million in a single day.
The interview hit 5 million YouTube views in 24 hours.
One problem: it wasn't true.
Crockett called them out: "We did receive information suggesting that the federal government did not shut down this segment."
She admitted her own party manufactured the controversy.
"I think it probably gave my opponent the boost he was looking for," Crockett said.
Democrat strategists made their calculation: Crockett can't win a general election.
"She might win a primary, but she ain't winning a general in Texas," a senior House Democrat told Axios.
Democrats Turn Race Card Against Crockett In Senate Primary
Crockett built her brand as the confrontational black woman who won't back down.
She became a hero to the Left after calling out Marjorie Taylor Greene in May 2024.
That same identity is why Democrats are backing away.
They're pushing Talarico – a white guy they think can play to moderates.
Crockett's response: cry racism against her own party.
The target isn't Republicans anymore.
It's Bowen Yang. CBS. Stephen Colbert. Liberal donors and coastal elites.
She Built Her Brand On Grievance And Now It's Turned On Her
Crockett became national co-chair of Kamala Harris's campaign.
She gave a DNC speech calling Trump "a vindictive, vile villain."
She used every platform to accuse Republicans of racism.
Now she's using that weapon against Democrats.
Do they defend themselves and prove her point?
Or stay quiet and let her paint them as racist?
Either way, the Democrat civil war gets uglier.
Talarico's staying disciplined. His supporters and Super PACs aren't holding back.
Crockett's supporters are on the attack. Talarico's are playing defense.
The March 3 primary is fast approaching.
Early voting already started.
Jasmine Crockett taught Democrats what happens when you build a party around identity politics and racial grievance.
Eventually someone turns that weapon on you.
