Joe Biden’s administration can virtually always count on Democrats marching in lock-step with any authoritarian plans they dream up.

The Biden White House never expected to get so much support from the GOP politicians on one draconian measure, however.

And now with RINOS helping Democrats on a bone-chilling  Biden-backed plan to hurt conservatives, Musk was forced to drop the hammer.

All too often, society has supported banning products and ideas that seem to threaten them.

However, history has proven repeatedly that banning something does not make the underlying problems go away.

And Elon Musk just dropped the hammer on this alleged censorship attempt.

Congress’ vote on a TikTok ban has unsettled many technology and political experts

Every generation has its fads, and for Generation Z, TikTok reigns supreme above all other technology programs.

Walk into any Starbucks, and you will almost certainly see young people endlessly scrolling through this app, which allows users to create catchy yet brief videos.

However, reports show that TikTok allegedly shares massive amounts of data with its parent company ByteDance, which has direct ties with the communist Chinese Government.

Congress just voted in rare bipartisan fashion to force TikTok to make some serious changes or face banishment in the United States.

Americans who’ve been paying attention in recent decades say it’s bills like this, which members of both parties in Congress quickly agree on, that should raise major alarms.

Although the GOP-controlled House voted 362-65 in favor of the bill, many experts and more concerned conservatives are gravely worried about it.

Ahead of a looming vote in the Democrat-controlled Senate, they’re hoping more Americans will join them and former President Donald Trump in opposition to the measure, which has now garnered the support of President Joe Biden.

Now, Big Tech mogul Elon Musk has just made clear he is among those with grave concerns about the supposed TikTok ban.

Musk retweeted a post from Congressman Thomas Massie last week, warning of the dangers of this House-passed legislation that is now awaiting action in the Senate.

“This law is not just about TikTok, it is about censorship and government control!  If it were just about TikTok, it would only cite ‘foreign control’ as the issue, but it does not,” Musk wrote in his post.

Congressman Massie’s post, which Musk retweeted, highlights sections of the bill that show it would vastly expand the President’s powers to censor Americans.

Massie’s post included specific sections of the proposed law, which led him to declare “The so-called TikTok ban is a trojan horse.”

“The President will be given the power to ban WEB SITES, not just Apps.  The person breaking the new law is deemed to be the U.S. (or offshore) INTERNET HOSTING SERVICE or App Store, not the ‘foreign adversary’,” the stalwart conservative Congressman continued.

The supposed move to ban TikTok comes at a time when young voters seem to be moving away from Joe Biden in the lead-up to the 2024 elections.

For example, in a recently released Quinnipiac poll of voters in the crucial swing state of Michigan, young voters overwhelmingly rejected Joe Biden.

Newsweek reported last week that a “Quinnipiac University poll of 1,487 registered voters in the state found just 28 percent of those 18-34 have a favorable view of Biden against 62 percent who view the president unfavorably, giving him a net approval of -34.”

The report added, “By contrast, 39 percent in this age group have a favorable view of Trump versus 53 percent who are unfavorable, producing a net approval of -14. Polling was conducted by telephone between March 8 and 12.”

Furthermore, this bill could greatly expand the power of the executive branch, which many Americans fear already has far too much power over regulating digital media, as evidenced in the ongoing Murthy v Missouri Supreme Court case.

What Congress’ latest vote reveals about the future of Big Tech

Congress’ latest vote, which could potentially ban TikTok, reveals that the federal government craves more control over the media.

Few apps are as widely used among young people as TikTok, and banning this media outlet could completely change how this generation consumes media.

Many Americans fear that this move to ban TikTok could give the federal government, primarily the President, unprecedented power to control digital media, turning America into a real-life version of George Orwell’s dystopian novel, 1984.
