Barack Obama still thinks he can sell Americans on the same old lies.
But nobody's buying what he's peddling anymore.
And Barack Obama told one big lie that turned him into a national punchline.
Barack Obama emerged from his bubble to defend the very institutions that spent years covering up one of the biggest scandals in American political history.
Speaking at an Arkansas art museum, Obama praised corporate media outlets and claimed they still "do a very good job of just presenting facts."¹
The timing couldn't be worse for Obama's rehabilitation tour of legacy media's reputation.
Obama's laughable defense of his media protectors
"I actually think — I actually think that the mainstream news still does a very good job of just presenting facts," Obama told the audience at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.¹
That's the big lie that turned Obama into a national joke.
After decades of left-wing bias, after years of covering up Biden's dementia, after Russia collusion hoaxes and fake impeachments — Obama wants Americans to believe legacy media "presents facts."
The audacity is breathtaking.
Legacy media spent four years hiding a President who couldn't function
Legacy media outlets spent four years actively covering up Joe Biden's severe cognitive decline.
And they did it deliberately.
A bombshell Wall Street Journal article from December 2024 revealed White House aides "insulated" Biden even from Cabinet members as his health deteriorated.²
Books published in 2025 exposed the conspiracy in excruciating detail.
Biden's inner circle — his wife Jill, son Hunter, and a handful of top aides — deliberately shielded him from scrutiny.
One former White House official admitted they "intentionally shielded him from other members of the administration" so others wouldn't "realize the extent of the decline."³
The goal wasn't protecting Biden.
It was protecting power.⁴
The White House branded honest journalists as Republican propagandists and "abused" reporters who asked questions.⁴
Legacy media went right along with it.
The evidence was everywhere and legacy media ignored all of it
Biden claimed he spoke with dead world leaders including German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who died in 2017, and French President Francois Mitterrand, who passed away in 1996.⁵
He read stage directions from his teleprompter out loud, telling audiences to "repeat the line" during speeches.
At a September 2022 conference, Biden asked where dead Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was, weeks after she died in a car crash.⁵
Any real journalist would have investigated.
Legacy media refused to touch it and pressured their own reporters not to write stories about Biden's obvious decline.
This is the media Obama says "presents facts."
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer exposed how Biden's aides used an autopen to sign executive actions and pardons while Biden was mentally incapacitated.⁶
"Five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board," one person familiar with the White House dynamic told reporters.⁶
Think about that.
Five unelected staffers were running America while the President couldn't remember if he was talking to living or dead people.
And the media Obama's praising covered it up.
These are the "fact presenters" Obama wants you to trust
Obama's defense of legacy media comes as those same outlets face devastating financial and credibility crises they richly deserve.
Their power is crumbling.
Newspapers are dying off.
Ratings at CNN and MSNBC have crashed.
Americans are tuning them out in record numbers.
Legacy media acted like a Democrat super PAC during the 2024 election, constantly attacking Trump with coordinated hit pieces and manufactured scandals.
Trump won anyway.
His victory proved how toothless legacy media has become.
ABC News just paid Trump $15 million to settle a defamation lawsuit after anchor George Stephanopoulos falsely claimed Trump was "liable for rape" when a jury only found him liable for sexual abuse.⁷
Stephanopoulos lied on national television.
The settlement included an additional $1 million for Trump's legal fees and a humiliating public apology.⁷
The BBC had to apologize after splicing clips from Trump's January 6 speech that were 54 minutes apart to make it appear he encouraged the Capitol riot.⁸
They doctored footage to frame Trump.
Two top BBC officials resigned over the scandal.⁸
These aren't isolated incidents.
They're the business model.
Lie about Trump, cover up for Democrats, attack conservatives, repeat.
The American people figured it out.
Trust in legacy media has collapsed to historic lows.
Voters watched these outlets spread the Russia collusion hoax for years, promote two fake impeachments, and cover up a President's mental decline while lecturing Americans about "misinformation."
And now Obama — the man who weaponized intelligence agencies against Trump — wants Americans to believe these liars are trustworthy.
Of course Obama loves legacy media.
They've fawned over him since 2008, treating him like a celebrity instead of scrutinizing his policies.
Fast and Furious? Ignored.
IRS targeting conservatives? Downplayed.
Benghazi lies? Defended.
Obama defending legacy media after decades of left-wing bias and coordinated coverups is like a con artist vouching for his accomplices.
Nobody's falling for it anymore.
