Leftist terrorists didn’t build their infrastructure alone.
A foreign organization has been providing the tools that let Antifa attack Americans with impunity.
And Antifa’s rampage was fueled by this disturbing international conspiracy.
Foreign "anti-fascist" collective provides criminal infrastructure
A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation exposed how the Autistici/Inventati (A/I) Collective — an Italy-based organization — provides the digital tools that let radical leftists brag about violent attacks, plan federal crimes, and publish doxxing materials with Americans’ home addresses.¹
The foreign tech collective built its services specifically to hide users’ identities from law enforcement.² Their email system skips the location tracking that normal providers use, and their blogging platform deliberately stores nothing that could identify users, according to the organization.³
Rose City Counter-Info — the Antifa-aligned site that called for illegally blinding federal helicopter pilots with laser pointers in Portland — runs on A/I Collective’s infrastructure.⁴
So does "Jane’s Revenge" — the pro-abortion extremist group that firebombed pro-life pregnancy centers in 2022.⁵
Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin didn’t mince words about the Portland laser plot.
"Aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft is a federal crime, and we have seen multiple attempts to use them to temporarily blind the pilots," she told the Daily Caller News Foundation.⁶ "This is incredibly dangerous for the aircraft personnel and for the public’s safety. Antifa domestic terrorists will not overrun our cities."⁷
The A/I Collective’s website boasts about evading law enforcement for two decades.
"After 2005 we have been constantly pestered by prosecutors and security forces asking us to hand over users’ data and identities and we are proud to say we were always able to answer: we are sorry, but we do not have them," the organization states.⁸
This isn’t accidental.
The Autistici/Inventati Collective requires users to profess "anti-fascism," "anti-racism," "anti-transphobia" and other radical leftist values before accessing their services.⁹ They’re not running a neutral tech platform — they’re operating ideological infrastructure for criminals who share their worldview.
Terrorist playbook: Attack Americans, brag on Italian servers
Here’s how the system works. Radical leftists commit arson, vandalism, or plan federal crimes. Then they post anonymous "communiques" on NoBlogs — the A/I Collective’s blogging platform — taking credit while leaving out details that could identify them.
FBI investigators saw this pattern with Casey Goonan, the California arsonist sentenced in September for firebombing police vehicles.¹⁰
Shortly after his attacks, pictures appeared on "Abolition Media" — another site hosted by the A/I Collective — showing the burned cop car along with messages about Gaza.¹¹
The FBI’s criminal complaint noted that "Abolition Media is hosted on a server run by an organization based in Europe" — referring to the Italian collective.¹²
Jane’s Revenge followed the same playbook when they torched Wisconsin Family Action’s headquarters in May 2022.¹³ "We are forced to adopt the minimum military requirement for a political struggle," they wrote in their NoBlogs post.¹⁴ "Again, this was only a warning. Next time the infrastructure of the enslavers will not survive."¹⁵
The site that published those arson threats? Still online today, powered by A/I Collective’s services.¹⁶
Other A/I-hosted blogs published home addresses of Heritage Foundation staff in 2024 and claimed credit for torching a New York police vehicle in 2023.¹⁷
The collective only intervened when one site posted illegally obtained doxxing information — but Rose City Counter-Info’s doxxing of ICE agents’ home addresses remains accessible.¹⁸
This reveals something crucial. The A/I Collective isn’t providing neutral infrastructure. They’re running a safe haven where leftist terrorists can coordinate attacks on Americans, take credit for federal crimes, and publish targeting information — all while European jurisdiction keeps U.S. law enforcement at arm’s length.
Trump’s FTO designation would unlock the weapon to dismantle this network
President Trump designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization on September 19, following Charlie Kirk’s assassination.¹⁹ At an October 8 White House event, Trump went further — instructing Secretary of State Marco Rubio to pursue Foreign Terrorist Organization designation.²⁰
That FTO designation is the key that unlocks everything.
Under federal law, providing "material support or resources" to a designated FTO carries up to 20 years in prison.²¹ Material support includes services, money, communications equipment, and expert advice.²²
The Treasury Department can freeze assets of anyone caught supporting an FTO.²³
Terrorism expert Kyle Shideler explained why this matters.
"If the Trump administration achieves an FTO designation for Antifa or even for some of these groups, going after organizations like this that provide material support would be job one," Shideler told the Daily Caller News Foundation.²⁴ "It’s the primary value of a designation. But short of a designation, they would probably really struggle to go after these kinds of entities, since the services they provide are otherwise lawful."²⁵
Right now, the A/I Collective operates in a legal gray zone because hosting services aren’t illegal by themselves.
But slap an FTO designation on Antifa, and suddenly that Italian organization isn’t running a blog platform anymore — they’re arming terrorists with the tools to evade capture.
Anyone using their email services to coordinate with Antifa groups becomes prosecutable under material support laws.
Banks doing business with A/I Collective risk getting cut off from the U.S. financial system. Italy faces a choice: shut down this operation or explain why they’re harboring infrastructure that enables attacks on Americans.
The A/I Collective knows exactly what’s coming. That’s why they warn users not to rely on their email server to "do something nasty without being caught."²⁶ They understand U.S. authorities have bigger tools available if the political will exists to use them.
This exposes the international network propping up domestic terrorism
The Autistici/Inventati Collective isn’t alone. Their website lists a dozen other "radical tech collectives" offering similar digital security tools for anarchists worldwide.²⁷
"This is part of a larger effort by anarchists to create their own online spaces that do not rely upon the usual corporate providers," Shideler explained.²⁸
Think about what that means. Leftist extremists have built an entire parallel digital infrastructure specifically designed to evade U.S. law enforcement.
Email that doesn’t log IP addresses. Blogs that don’t store user data. Servers scattered across multiple countries so takedowns fail. Encryption tools that frustrate investigations.
This is sophisticated criminal infrastructure operating under the guise of "digital rights activism." The sophistication level here isn’t casual protesters — this is operatives with OpSec training using foreign safe havens to attack Americans with impunity.
The timing of this Daily Caller News Foundation investigation matters. One week after Trump floats the FTO designation at the White House, this story breaks showing exactly why that designation is necessary. You’re watching the Administration build its case in real time.
Previous attempts to dismantle Antifa focused on arresting individuals. That’s playing whack-a-mole. The smart strategy targets infrastructure.
If Trump succeeds with the FTO designation, suddenly every nonprofit funding groups that use A/I Collective services faces material support investigations.
Every anarchist using their email system for "organizing" becomes prosecutable. The entire network of European tech collectives faces a choice: stop serving designated terrorists or face the consequences.
Some very nervous people in Italy just realized their two-decade run of thumbing their nose at U.S. prosecutors might be ending. The Charlie Kirk assassination changed everything. Trump isn’t playing defense anymore — he’s going after the foreign connections that make domestic terrorism possible.
And unlike his first term, this time he knows exactly where to hit them.
