All hell broke loose with damning Abrego Garcia bodycam footage release

And now all hell has broken loose with the release of this damning Abrego Garcia bodycam footage.

Tennessee Police just released damning bodycam footage that has Democrats scrambling to explain away a suspected MS-13 member caught in the act of human trafficking.

MS-13 member caught red-handed

Tennessee State Police released shocking bodycam footage from November 30, 2022, showing Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a suspected MS-13 gang member, being stopped with a vehicle full of people he appeared to be trafficking across state lines.

The footage was only made public on May 2, 2025, by authorities and quickly obtained by Fox News.

In the damning video, a Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper can be seen becoming increasingly suspicious as he realizes Garcia has eight men packed into his vehicle with an unusual number of seats.

“How many rows have you got in here? Four seats? Four rows of seats?” the state trooper asks in the footage, clearly surprised by the vehicle’s configuration. “I’ve never seen one with that many seats in it.”

The trooper’s suspicions grew when Garcia’s story kept changing. 

He first claimed he was heading to St. Louis, Missouri, then said he was actually going home to Maryland, then clarified that the men were going to St. Louis while he would continue to “work” for a boss supposedly in Texas.

As troopers stepped away to run Garcia’s license, one officer can be heard telling another: “He’s hauling these people for money.”

Criminal flagged but released anyway

Despite strong evidence of human trafficking, Garcia was let go without arrest after the stop. 

What’s even more shocking is that when troopers ran his name through the National Crime Information Center database, they received a warning that Garcia was suspected of being a gang member or terrorist, according to a source who spoke with Fox News.

The troopers reportedly considered calling Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and ultimately decided to do so.

However ICE officials never arrived to pick up Garcia.

At the time of the stop, Garcia was found with $1,400 in cash and an expired license. The trooper can be heard saying, “This is a good stop,” yet the suspected MS-13 member was simply allowed to continue on his way with his human cargo.

A report from the traffic stop noted that none of the men in the car had luggage, and all claimed to share the same address as Garcia. Troopers also observed that Garcia appeared to pretend he knew less English than he actually did.

This incident occurred despite Garcia having been issued a deportation order back in 2019, with two judges previously concluding he was likely affiliated with the notorious MS-13 gang.

Democrats defending the indefensible

The case has become even more controversial in recent weeks as Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) was spotted meeting with Garcia in El Salvador – apparently sipping margaritas together.

El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele publicly ridiculed Van Hollen for the meeting, posting on X: “Kilmar Abrego Garcia, miraculously risen from the ‘death camps’ & ‘torture,’ now sipping margaritas with Sen. Van Hollen in the tropical paradise of El Salvador!”

The meeting has unleashed a firestorm of criticism on social media, with many users pointing out that Van Hollen’s official posts about the meeting conveniently left out images showing the margarita glasses.

Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com make the Democrats’ defense of Garcia even more troubling. A 2021 petition for protection from domestic violence filed by Garcia’s wife, Jennifer Vasquez, stated that the alleged MS-13 member had beaten her multiple times over the years.

Garcia’s case has sparked a heated legal battle between the judicial and executive branches. The Supreme Court has ordered the Trump administration to facilitate Garcia’s return to the United States, despite Trump officials maintaining that Garcia is an MS-13 gangster who deserves to be in El Salvador.

A three-judge panel from the 4th US Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously refused to suspend a judge’s decision ordering sworn testimony by Trump administration officials about compliance with the court’s instruction to facilitate Garcia’s return.

In a statement, the court said the Trump administration’s claims that it can’t do anything to free Garcia from an El Salvador prison “should be shocking to the intuitive sense of liberty that Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear.”

Garcia entered the US illegally in 2011, and a judge blocked his return to El Salvador in 2019, citing concerns that gangsters were after him. Trump administration officials insist he’s not innocent and claim he’s an MS-13 gangster who deserves deportation.

This bodycam footage provides a window into exactly why President Trump made border security his day one priority after returning to the White House.

The footage shows exactly what Trump has been saying all along – dangerous criminals were operating freely under the previous administration’s policies.

With the implementation of the Laken Riley Act and other border security measures, law enforcement can now detain illegal immigrants arrested or charged with violent crimes, preventing the kind of scenario captured in the Tennessee trooper’s bodycam.
