Silicon Valley CEOs are known to make incredibly dumb decisions out of allegiance to Joe Biden and the Democrats.
This one might take the cake this year.
And Airbnb users are furious after it just announced a policy that could ruin everything this weekend.
The titans of Silicon Valley are willfully serving as an enforcement arm of the D.C. Swamp as Joe Biden and the Democrats double down on COVID hysteria.
Too many businesses are falling for it again.
Worse, some companies are tripping over themselves to lick the COVID regime’s boots, imposing draconian restrictions.
Airbnb is one such company.
And the travel and lodging marketplace announced they were slamming the doors on guests for New Year’s Eve.
Airbnb’s new COVID policies could block people who attempt to book one-night and two-night stays if they do not have a history of positive reviews.
Airbnb said in a statement:
“As we build upon the party ban and continue to protect our community during this unprecedented time, certain holidays, such as New Years’ Eve, attract higher risks of unauthorized or disruptive parties. That’s why we’re introducing new products and policies to crack down on disruptive NYE parties, helping to protect our Hosts and minimizing neighborhood disruption…The anchor of this plan is a ban on one-night NYE bookings in entire home listings for guests without a history of positive reviews.”
This is absurd.
If people are willing to allow others to use their homes and those booking the accommodations or attending parties are willing to assume any risk, then Airbnb is out of place enforcing this crackdown.
It seems as if the COVID regime simply wants people to be miserable.
Airbnb’s press release continued:
“As NYE approaches, we will deploy more stringent restrictions on two-night reservations that may pose heightened risk for disruptive parties…For example, we will leverage and amplify our technology that restricts certain local and last-minute bookings by guests without a history of positive reviews on Airbnb.”
This is what fascism looks like – businesses enforcing policies on behalf of the state.
Vaccine mandates are unconstitutional but many businesses are enforcing them nonetheless, as the establishment consolidates power and Big Tech companies like Airbnb are falling in line.
None of this paints a pretty picture for the future.
