Joe Biden’s administration is sinking like a rock.
That’s why the Democrats are looking for any angle they can to stay in power.
But a federal judge just used three words Nancy Pelosi hated to describe her latest January 6 scheme.
Nancy Pelosi’s witch hunt of Donald Trump and all his associates continues.
Pelosi’s January 6 House select committee is expanding its reach in truly shocking ways.
Not only are they going through personal text messages of people in Trump’s orbit, they are now going after Republican donors.
The committee recently subpoenaed Salesforce, a major cloud computing company, for a jaw-dropping amount of private information from the Republican National Committee (RNC).
American Greatness reported that the subpoena “covered outreach conducted by the RNC, the Trump reelection campaign, and the Trump Make America Great Again Committee—a breathtaking trove of internal records and documents were requested including all communications between the company and the political organizations as well as any data reports generated by Salesforce.”
The committee argued that “disinformation” about the 2020 election incited the Capitol Hill riot, thus it deserves to comb through private communications to campaign donors.
Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson wrote, “There is evidence suggesting that numerous defendants charged with violations related to the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol and others present on the Capitol grounds that day were motivated by false claims about the election…The Select Committee is seeking information regarding whether and how the Trump campaign used Salesforce’s platform to disseminate false statements about the 2020 election in the weeks leading up to the January 6 attack.”
This is a truly disturbing breach of privacy.
And an establishment judge denied the RNC’s request for injunctive relief.
Judge Timothy Kelly acknowledged the “exceedingly rare spectacle of a congressional committee subpoenaing the records of one of our country’s two major political parties,” but concluded that the committee could move forward.
Kelly added, “[T]he Select Committee is hardly on an unconstrained ‘fishing expedition’ into the RNC’s records…[It] is hard to imagine a more important interest for Congress than to preserve its own ability to carry out specific duties assigned to it under the Constitution.”
The RNC appealed Kelly’s ruling.
If denied, the Democrats will have essentially legalized Watergate.
There’s no telling what kind of damage Democrats could do with private information about Republican donors.
It’s chilling to think just how rogue the Democrat Party has gone.
The Democrats will milk the January 6 committee until the end of time if allowed to do so.
