The Deep State has been pulling strings behind the scenes for decades.
Most Americans suspected it but could never prove it.
And now a CIA whistleblower just exposed the one terrifying way the Deep State controls every President.
CIA insider reveals how the agency outlasts every administration
Former CIA officer John Kiriakou dropped a bombshell during his appearance on "The Tucker Carlson Show" that should send chills down the spine of every American who believes in democracy.
Kiriakou, who worked for the CIA from 1990 to 2004 before becoming a whistleblower, explained exactly how the intelligence community has been able to maintain control regardless of who occupies the Oval Office.
The truth is more disturbing than most people realize.
"Presidents come and go every four years, every eight years," Kiriakou told Tucker Carlson. "But these CIA people, they’re there for 25, 30, 35 years."
That statement alone reveals the fundamental problem with how our government actually operates versus how it’s supposed to work.
Presidents are elected by the American people to lead the executive branch and direct the intelligence agencies.
But according to Kiriakou, that’s not how things really work in Washington, D.C.
"They don’t go anywhere. So if they don’t like a president or if a president orders them to do something that they don’t want to do, they just wait because they know they can wait him out, and then he’s not going to be president anymore," Kiriakou explained.
The former CIA officer described how these career bureaucrats can simply ignore presidential directives and continue pursuing their own agenda.
"They can continue on with whatever plan the blob or the deep state wants to implement," Kiriakou added.
Tucker Carlson connects the dots on who really runs America
Carlson pressed Kiriakou on this revelation, pointing out the obvious implication of what he was describing.
"It doesn’t sound like, so if you look at the org chart, the president controls the CIA. But you’re describing a situation where the CIA kind of controls the president," Carlson observed.
That’s exactly right.
The official organizational chart shows the President at the top of the executive branch with agencies like the CIA reporting to him.
But the reality is that these agencies have figured out how to maintain their power regardless of electoral outcomes.
Carlson summed up the problem perfectly when he noted that elected representatives "come and go" while "the people who carry out those orders remain."
"So, over time, they are the ones with the power," Carlson concluded.
This isn’t some conspiracy theory or wild speculation.
This is a former CIA officer explaining exactly how the system actually works based on his years of experience inside the agency.
Trump vindicated on Deep State claims
Kiriakou’s revelations provide strong validation for President Donald Trump’s frequent warnings about the Deep State during his first term.
"Donald Trump took a lot of guff in his first term when he used on a regular basis the term ‘deep state,’" Kiriakou said. "I argued from the very beginning, it is a Deep State."
The former CIA officer acknowledged that critics might not like the terminology.
"Maybe you don’t like the terminology. You don’t have to call it the Deep State. You can call it the federal bureaucracy. You can call it the state. But the truth is that it exists," he stated.
Trump has made reforming these agencies a top priority in his second term.
On his first day back in office, Trump signed an executive order to end the weaponization of the federal government.
The executive order specifically accused federal law enforcement agencies and the intelligence community of abusing their positions.
Trump has also appointed new leadership to key agencies, tapping John Ratcliffe as CIA Director and Kash Patel as FBI Director.
Kiriakou exposes congressional cover-ups
The former CIA officer also revealed how members of Congress have helped cover up agency misconduct.
Kiriakou recalled how former House Intelligence Committee Chairwoman Jane Harmon publicly denied knowing about the CIA’s torture program.
"Reporters went to her and said, ‘Hey, what about this torture program?’ She said, ‘I didn’t know anything about the torture program,’" Kiriakou recounted.
But according to Kiriakou, Harmon was lying.
"I said, and I remember saying it to the New York Times. I said, ‘she was in the room when it was briefed,’" he revealed.
When challenged about her denial, Harmon changed her story.
"When she was challenged, she said ‘Oh, yeah, I remember that day. But you know what? I got up, and I left early, and I left one of my aides as a notetaker, and he never briefed me,’ which is also a lie," Kiriakou added.
This shows how the deep state operates with the help of complicit members of Congress who are willing to provide cover for illegal activities.
Kiriakou paid a heavy price for exposing the truth about CIA torture programs.
He was charged under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act for disclosing classified information and sentenced to 30 months in prison.
But his willingness to speak out has provided Americans with rare insight into how the intelligence community really operates.
The American people elected Donald Trump to drain the swamp and restore accountability to our government.
Kiriakou’s revelations show exactly why that mission is so important and why the deep state will fight so hard to maintain their power.
