Democrats are already scheming up their agenda if they seize control of Congress.
Now a hidden camera just caught a Senator what voters weren’t supposed to hear.
She thought she was speaking privately and named every target on her January list.
The Signature Cases Democrats Plan to Open in January
Michigan Democrat Senator Elissa Slotkin is a former CIA analyst who won her 2024 Senate seat by running as a moderate – she put Donald Trump and George W. Bush in her own campaign ads.
Since then she has called on Democrats to "go nuclear" against Trump, delivered the party's response to his address to Congress, and positioned herself as a leading 2028 presidential contender.
An undercover journalist caught her in what she believed was a private conversation with a fellow traveler.
He opened by worrying Democrats might "be too nice" after the midterms.
Then he asked for specifics: "What are we going to do to hold the Trump regime and its collaborators responsible? I'm talking prosecutions."
Slotkin didn't hesitate.
She told him Democrats already have a plan ready to pull from a drawer in January the moment the new Congress is seated.
"We have a list of, like, the 'signature cases,'" she explained. "So the things where it's, like, so egregious, such a violation of law, such a corruption case – in every committee, there will be the 'signature cases' where we hold people accountable."
She named her targets: the White House ballroom, the reflecting pool renovation, $200 million from the Defense Department.
"So that's what you'll see basically in January," she said.
"I just went to Hungary," Slotkin told the undercover reporter. "I went over to Budapest because they just got rid of their authoritarian leader after 16 years. And I'm like, how did you handle 16 years of corruption? We don't have that much, but we have so much."
She flew to Budapest to study how a foreign government cleaned house – and came home with a template for America.
That's not oversight. That's Soviet-style political persecution sold as accountability.
Slotkin Said the Same Thing at University of Chicago and Trump Said She Should Be Tried
Slotkin had already run this play once.
On October 13, she told a University of Chicago audience the exact same thing – and a student reporter caught it on video.
Seven million people watched the clip after it was posted on X – Slotkin announcing that Democrats need "signature cases" targeting not just Trump but "the people who enabled him," and warning young people that working for his administration might mean "buying myself a ton of problems."

The goal isn't accountability. The goal is making sure no smart conservative ever works for a Republican president again.
Trump called it "a hell of a statement" and said she "should be tried."
A government watchdog – the Center to Advance Security in America – filed a Senate ethics complaint against Slotkin for the remarks.
Fox News documented that Slotkin isn't working alone: House Democrats have a full investigation blitz mapped out, with committee chairs pre-selecting subpoena targets and preparing for public hearings as early as February.
The targets extend beyond elected officials – if you donated, volunteered, or took any job in the Trump administration, you are on their list.
Senior and mid-level Trump administration officials have been quietly reaching out to law firms since spring.
Slotkin Has Her Own Federal Investigation While Planning the Next Lawfare Campaign
Democrats have been building this since they lost in 2024, and the only reason Americans know about it is because one journalist pretended to agree with her.
The senator running point on the plan is herself under federal investigation – she organized a video urging U.S. troops to disobey their commander in chief, and when DOJ came calling she refused to cooperate.
Democrats have said openly that this lawfare campaign is designed to outlast Trump's presidency.
They want everyone who worked for him facing consequences long after he leaves, with the goal of building a permanent political punishment apparatus no future Republican can escape.
The Left isn't hiding any of this – they're announcing it at college campuses, telling undercover reporters, and flying to Eastern Europe to study the playbook.
The only thing standing between that prosecution list and the inside of a congressional drawer is the midterm election on Tuesday.
