Todd Blanche Just Gave Ilhan Omar Something the Biden DOJ Denied Trump During His Indictments

Jack Smith got a federal judge to silence Donald Trump during a presidential campaign.

Now Ilhan Omar is under a serious federal investigation – and the attorney general just told her something Trump never heard.

Todd Blanche just made that double standard impossible to ignore.

Jack Smith Got Trump Gagged While He Was Running for President

Jack Smith prosecuted Donald Trump and asked judges to make sure America couldn't hear from him while he did it.

Smith won a gag order in the federal election interference case, blocking Trump from criticizing prosecutors, witnesses, and court staff – all while Trump was running for president of the United States.

State judges in Manhattan piled on with separate gag orders in the hush money trial and Letitia James's civil fraud case.

That's four criminal indictments across four jurisdictions – with gag orders layered on top of them.

Blanche lived through every one of those gag orders as Trump's personal attorney.

He spent three years fighting them while the Biden DOJ worked to silence a former president in the middle of a campaign.

This week, Blanche sat down with Miranda Devine on Pod Force One and drew a contrast Democrats won't want to explain.

Ilhan Omar has publicly said no one is going to keep her quiet – and Blanche confirmed the DOJ isn't trying.

"There's no effort by the Department of Justice, unlike the last Department of Justice that worked very hard to keep President Trump quiet by getting gag orders and the like – that's not what we're doing," Blanche told Miranda Devine.

The man who watched Jack Smith muzzle a sitting presidential candidate is now the nation's top law enforcement officer – and he's not gagging the person he's actively investigating.

Ilhan Omar Faces Denaturalization and Deportation if Immigration Fraud Is Proven

Homeland Security Investigations raided her Washington, D.C., home on October 12th, seizing her cell phone, notebooks, and personal computer.

Her sister, Sahra Noor, has been subpoenaed and interviewed by federal agents.

According to the New York Post, feds have DNA evidence that could prove Omar married her brother to commit immigration fraud – a scheme that secured her entry into this country and eventually a seat in Congress.

Border Czar Tom Homan confirmed on Fox News that DHS is actively investigating the marriage fraud allegations.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin went on record saying, in reference to Omar, "Something's going to happen."

If fraud is proven, Omar faces denaturalization and deportation back to Somalia, which would end her congressional career in the process.

While feds build the case against her, Omar is free to go on television and call it political persecution.

That is a right Donald Trump was not given when federal prosecutors were working to put him in prison.

Democrats have called Trump's investigation of Omar "weaponization."

Blanche took that apart with one paragraph.

"If you compare… aside from the multiple indictments against the President in multiple jurisdictions, there's an attorney general in your state in New York that tried to destroy not only him, his family, his children, his business – yet we're weaponizing," he told Miranda Devine.

That investigation started with a text message found on Omar's sister's phone.

Biden's DOJ was so aggressive it forced Mar-a-Lago gardeners to hire criminal defense attorneys – Blanche confirmed this under oath before the Senate.

Every Cabinet secretary who worked near Trump had to lawyer up because, as Blanche put it, Biden was "coming after you."

Calling that law enforcement is an insult to the phrase.

The feds have DNA evidence, sworn testimony from Omar's subpoenaed family members, and every device she owns – and she is still doing cable news hits every week.

The Heritage Foundation's Zack Smith noted at the time of Trump's gag orders that judges are, "by and large, hesitant to impose gag orders" precisely because of First Amendment concerns.

Biden's DOJ pushed for them anyway – and got them – against a former president running for the White House.

If Democrats want to argue these two situations are equivalent, they need to explain why Trump deserved to be silenced while Omar deserves to speak freely.

They can't make that argument.

The man who fought those gag orders is now the Attorney General of the United States.
