Biden's government spent over $22 billion in taxpayer money on organizations dedicated to keeping illegal aliens from being deported.
Now investigators have traced some of that money to a social media campaign millions watched without knowing Washington was behind it.
The influencer Biden's government paid to reach those millions had her own verdict on the country writing the checks.
How Biden HHS Funneled Taxpayer Money to a TikTok Influencer Campaign
The money moved in layers.
Biden's Health and Human Services Department sent funds to the Acacia Center for Justice – a left-wing legal advocacy group already under congressional investigation for misusing hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars.
Acacia then routed $151,590 to a marketing firm called HelpGood LLC.
The payment, dated April 29, 2024, was labeled "media and communications support" under the federal Unaccompanied Children's Program – the same program that processed over 500,000 illegal alien minors during the Biden years and lost track of more than 300,000 of them.
Federal law defines an unaccompanied alien child as a minor with "no lawful immigration status" and no available parent or guardian in the United States.
Biden's HHS paid a marketing firm to recruit lawyers whose job was to keep those children from being deported.
HelpGood did not run job boards.
It ran an influence operation.
HelpGood's own case study described the contract as covering influencer partnerships, podcast production, and paid media – built, in the firm's words, to foster "solidarity with immigrant communities" and push back against what it called anti-immigrant misinformation.
The firm explicitly wanted to reach audiences outside "left-leaning" social media bubbles.

Reb Masel Called America Racist on the Taxpayer Funded Podcast Nobody Disclosed
A Shorty Awards case study named both creators: TikTok lawyer Reb Masel and then-Columbia law student Jordan McMeans, each "hand-picked" for an extended paid partnership.
Both received campaign briefs.
HelpGood described their "frustrated outrage" at the immigration system as the fuel behind the content.
Both influencers disclosed their partnership with Acacia in posts.
Neither told viewers that HHS was bankrolling the marketing contractor running their campaign.
McMeans directed followers to Acacia job listings.
Masel went further.
On June 27, 2024, she published a video attacking Biden's asylum restrictions – using the #ACJPartner hashtag and directing viewers straight to Acacia fellowships and paid positions.
On October 4, she released an 80-minute podcast with Acacia staff as guests.
Listeners were told that lawyers could help illegal alien children avoid deportation and remain in the United States.
The podcast called the American immigration system "designed for exclusion – and deportation."
Masel addressed anyone who supported stricter enforcement directly and told them illegal alien minors had rights.
She called America "racist, loud and racist."
Those words were spoken on a podcast produced by a firm paid $151,590 in taxpayer money.
Webby production credits list HelpGood as the entrant, Masel as the creator, and Acacia staff as writers and guests.
HHS never appeared in the credits – because Acacia and HelpGood never disclosed the federal money behind the production.
Jim Jordan Probes Acacia Center for Justice Over Hundreds of Millions in Biden Funding
Jim Jordan noticed.
In January 2026, the House Judiciary Committee sent a formal letter to Acacia demanding a full accounting of the hundreds of millions in Biden-era federal funding the group received.
Jordan's letter described exactly what conservatives have suspected for years: a circular flow of taxpayer money in which Biden funded Acacia, Acacia used that funding to lobby Congress for programs that benefit illegal aliens, and Acacia administered those same programs.
Biden's HHS spent over $22.6 billion through its Office of Refugee Resettlement since 2020 – funding everything from legal representation to home loans and credit-building programs for illegal aliens.
The Unaccompanied Children's Program alone burned through $6.9 billion in a single fiscal year.
Congressional hearings revealed that NGOs inside this network saw massive revenue and salary increases while hundreds of thousands of migrant children went missing.
This was not a rounding error or bureaucratic oversight.
Biden's administration built an infrastructure – funded by American taxpayers, hidden from American taxpayers – to fight deportation at every level of the legal system.
The influencer campaign was one piece of a machine that routed billions through nonprofits, marketing firms, and advocacy organizations.
The lawyers Masel recruited on that taxpayer-funded podcast went into immigration courts to block the exact removals the Trump administration is now executing.
Biden did not just open the border.
He funded the legal operation specifically designed to make sure no one could close it – and paid a woman who called America racist to help sell it to millions on TikTok.
