The Chinese Communist Party has been waging a quiet war against America for decades.
They've infiltrated our cities, our universities, and our political system.
And Democrats just got caught red-handed funding Chinese Communist Party influence operations.
Democrats paid $800,000 to registered foreign agent after DOJ designation
The numbers don't lie and Democrats can't explain them away.
Federal, state, and local Democrats funneled roughly $800,000 to Sing Tao News Corporation since August 2021, according to public records reviewed by the Washington Examiner.¹
That's when the Department of Justice forced the Chinese-owned media conglomerate to register as a foreign agent.
Democrats knew exactly what they were doing because the designation wasn't secret.
Five out of seven Sing Tao board members belong to the CCP's United Front Work Department, a global network the Chinese government uses for intelligence gathering and influence operations.²
Two directors also sit on the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a government advisory body that rubber-stamps Beijing's decisions.
"It's a fairly open secret that it is an underground CCP organization," a former assistant editor-in-chief at a pro-China newspaper told Radio Free Asia.³
Democrats handed money to this outfit anyway.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's campaign cut checks to Sing Tao after the foreign agent designation.
Former New York Mayor Eric Adams paid them.
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie paid them.
Former San Francisco Mayor London Breed paid them.
Andrew Cuomo's New York mayoral campaign paid them.
The list goes on.
Foreign agent designation exposed decades of CCP control
Sing Tao didn't become a Chinese government operation overnight.
The Jamestown Foundation documented in 2001 that Beijing provided a financial bailout to Sing Tao in the late 1980s and helped the conglomerate establish Xinhua Online in 2001.⁴
The Kaisa Group, which owns a major stake in Sing Tao, operates as a cover for CCP media operations according to Chinese media insiders.
More than half of Sing Tao's U.S. content gets purchased from Star Production (Shenzhen) Limited, a Chinese company.⁵
The outlet publishes articles praising CCP rule over Hong Kong, commending the United Front Work Department, and attacking American efforts to counter Chinese influence.
Media watchdogs labeled Sing Tao as biased toward the CCP years before the DOJ made it official.
Yet American politicians kept writing checks.
Some Democrats like Tom Suozzi claimed ignorance after getting caught.
"If I'm a congressman and I didn't know about it, think about what's happening to regular citizens on a regular basis," Suozzi told the Washington Examiner.⁶
That excuse falls apart when you realize these politicians had media buyers, campaign consultants, and staffers who should have flagged the foreign agent registration.
The Washington Examiner reported Sing Tao pulled in nearly $5 million in advertising income from Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco between March and August 2024 alone.⁷
Most of those precise sources remain undisclosed in public records.
Democrats weren't the only politicians caught funding Chinese influence operations.
Republicans Nicole Malliotakis and Curtis Sliwa also paid thousands to Sing Tao for advertisements.
But Democrats dominated the donor rolls by a landslide.
The United Front Work Department isn't some benign cultural organization.
The U.S. House Select Committee on the CCP describes it as "a unique blend of influence and interference activities, as well as intelligence operations that the CCP uses to shape its political environment."⁸
The department gathers intelligence, manages relationships with overseas Chinese communities, and works to ensure individuals and groups support CCP interests.
A 2022 Canadian court ruling stated the UFWD's Overseas Chinese Affairs Office "engages in covert and surreptitious intelligence gathering."⁹
MI5 issued an "interference alert" in 2022 for a U.K. solicitor suspected of political interference on behalf of the UFWD.
This isn't amateur hour influence peddling.
The CCP runs professional intelligence operations through the United Front, and Democrats just funded them to the tune of $800,000 since 2021.
Democrats talk tough on China while their campaigns bankroll Beijing's propaganda machine.
They lecture Americans about foreign interference while cutting checks to an organization the DOJ designated as a foreign agent.
Every payment gave the CCP more resources to spread propaganda, gather intelligence on Chinese-American communities, and influence American politics.
Here's what makes this worse than just campaign stupidity.
The foreign agent registration was public information available to anyone with an internet connection.
Their media buyers knew.
Their campaign consultants knew.
Their compliance teams knew.
They wrote the checks anyway because reaching Chinese-American voters mattered more to them than national security.
Yes, some Republicans like Malliotakis and Sliwa also paid Sing Tao thousands of dollars and that's inexcusable too.
But Democrats handed over $800,000 while Republicans paid pocket change by comparison.
One side created a financial lifeline for Chinese intelligence operations while the other made a few bad decisions.
Those aren't remotely equivalent.
The Trump Administration needs to investigate every campaign payment to Sing Tao.
Because someone approved those payments after the DOJ designation.
Someone looked at "registered foreign agent for China" and said "yeah, let's give them money anyway."
Attorney General Pam Bondi should subpoena every campaign finance record, every media buying contract, and every email discussing Sing Tao payments.
Then prosecute anyone who knowingly funneled campaign cash to an organization gathering intelligence for the Chinese Communist Party.
Democrats spent four years screaming about Russia while secretly bankrolling China's influence operations in American cities.
They called Trump soft on China while their campaigns funded an outlet that publishes propaganda praising Beijing's authoritarian rule.
You want to know why Americans don't trust Democrats on national security?
This is why.
Because when it came time to choose between winning elections and protecting the country from Chinese infiltration, Democrats chose themselves.
