Rogue federal judges have been waging war against President Trump’s agenda since Day One.
They think they can ignore the Supreme Court and get away with it.
But Jim Jordan utterly destroyed activist judges when he revealed this terrifying punishment they’ll face.
Liberal judges keep defying the Supreme Court to block Trump
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has had enough of rogue federal judges who keep blocking President Trump’s agenda.
These activist judges have been throwing up roadblocks against Trump’s executive orders from Day One.
Recently, U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani – an Obama appointee, naturally – blocked Trump’s efforts to defund Planned Parenthood through the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act.
This is the same playbook Democrats used during Trump’s first term.
Every time Trump tries to secure the border, cut wasteful spending, or restore common sense to government, some activist judge in a liberal district rushes to block it.
But Jordan isn’t sitting back and taking it anymore.
The Ohio Republican dropped a bombshell during an appearance on Just the News, No Noise TV show that should have every rogue judge shaking in their robes.
“So I think we’re looking at that process as it unfolds here over the next three months,” Jordan warned.¹
Congress has the power to make judges pay
Jordan laid out exactly how Congress can fight back against these judicial activists who think they’re above the law.
“There may be ways we can use the power of the purse, which is, again, what the founders thought, that was the biggest power that the legislative branch had relative to the others. So I think we’re looking at that process as it unfolds here over the next three months,” Jordan explained.²
The House has already passed legislation authored by Rep. Darrell Issa that would strip federal district judges of their ability to issue nationwide injunctions.
“Well, we got three courses of action we can do,” Jordan said. “We can pass legislation which we’ve already done right in the Judiciary Committee in the House, which is Darrell Issa’s bill, which said that the 677 federal district judges when it comes to issuing injunctions, the injunction shouldn’t apply nationwide.”³
Jordan isn’t waiting around for the Senate to act.
He’s ready to use Congress’s biggest weapon – control over the federal budget.
The Judicial Conference just asked for a massive budget increase, and Jordan thinks it’s time to take a hard look at that request.
“You know, the Judicial Conference just asked for a big, big raise in their budget. I think we need to take a look at that and decide,” Jordan said.⁴
Jordan made it clear that Congress wouldn’t touch security funding, especially given the dangerous threats against justices like Brett Kavanaugh.
But pay raises? That’s a different story.
The Supreme Court already backed Trump
What makes these activist judges even more brazen is that the Supreme Court has already slapped them down.
Last month, the justices voted to rein in lower court injunctions, essentially telling district judges they’ve been overstepping their authority.
President Trump celebrated the Supreme Court’s decision on TRUTH Social, calling it a “GIANT WIN.”
“Even the Birthright Citizenship Hoax has been, indirectly, hit hard. It had to do with the babies of slaves (same year!), not the SCAMMING of our Immigration process. Congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Solicitor General John Sauer, and the entire DOJ,” Trump wrote.⁵
The Supreme Court ruled that Congress never authorized lower courts to issue these sweeping nationwide injunctions.
Yet judges like Talwani continue to ignore the highest court in the land.
Jordan’s committee has been building the case
Jordan’s Judiciary Committee has been systematically documenting the problem with rogue judges.
They’ve conducted hearings on the injunction abuse and brought in experts like former Speaker Newt Gingrich to explain the historical context.
“We had former Speaker Gingrich in, and he talked about it and gave a good historical perspective on this whole issue,” Jordan said.⁶
The committee has documented how these activist judges have been systematically trying to undermine Trump’s presidency from the moment he took office.
They’ve blocked everything from border security measures to government efficiency reforms.
But Jordan’s threat to use the appropriations process shows that Congress isn’t going to sit back and let unelected judges run the country.
The founders designed Congress to check judicial overreach
Jordan is absolutely right that the power of the purse was designed to be Congress’s most powerful tool for checking the other branches of government.
The founders never intended for unelected federal judges to have the power to override the elected president and Congress.
These district judges seem to think they can act like kings, issuing edicts that apply to the entire country.
But Jordan is reminding them that Congress controls their budget, their pay raises, and their perks.
If they want to ignore the Supreme Court and block the people’s agenda, they might find their next paycheck a little lighter.
Jordan’s warning should send a clear message to every activist judge in America: the days of judicial tyranny are numbered.
Congress has the power to fight back, and Republicans like Jordan are finally ready to use it.
