Democrats are pulling out the stops to get Kamala Harris into the White House.
They’re willing to go to any length to achieve victory.
And an Obama official just slipped up and revealed this devious scheme to tip the election for Kamala Harris.
Democrats search for votes overseas for Kamala Harris
The Presidential election could come down to another photo finish this year between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
President Joe Biden won the 2020 Election by about 44,000 votes spread across Arizona, Wisconsin, and Georgia.
This year Democrats are searching for votes anywhere they can find them.
Including Americans living abroad.
Overseas voters are a potentially untapped pool of voters that Democrats are turning to this election.
The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) allows Americans living abroad the ability to get a ballot mailed to them to vote in federal elections.
Almost one million ballots were cast in the 2020 Election through UOCAVA.
Former President Donald Trump sounded the alarm on the overseas voting.
“The Democrats are talking about how they’re working so hard to get millions of votes from Americans living overseas,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “Actually, they are getting ready to CHEAT!”
Obama official leads effort to find American voters in Canada
Bruce Heyman was the ambassador to Canada under former President Barack Obama.
He’s leading an effort to track down Americans and get them to vote this year.
Heyman was giddy at Trump’s attacks on overseas voting.
“There’s zero chance Donald Trump used that language himself,” Heyman told POLITICO. “It came out of the campaign. The campaign recognizes how many Americans live abroad and the effort we’re putting forth, and they can’t compete against it.”
The former Obama ambassador has been reaching out to Americans who go to school or teach at Canadian universities about voting.
“I believe in my heart of hearts that Americans living in Canada could determine the outcome of this election,” Heyman said.
Democrats are canvassing in Windsor, Ontario – across the Detroit River from Detroit, Michigan – to chase down voters for Kamala.
There are about 605,000 Americans living in Canada who are old enough to vote according to the Federal Voting Assistance Program.
The swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania aren’t far from major Canadian cities.
Volunteers with Democrats Abroad have knocked on more than 1,000 doors in Windsor in search of potential American voters.
Heyman said that the Michigan Democrat Party and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer are “all-in on getting Michiganders living in Canada to vote.”
“We’re going to need Americans in Canada to vote this time, and we’re going to work hard at getting the vote out,” Heyman explained.
Democrats are spending $450,000 on ads targeting Americans in Canada.
“We basically purchased everything that we can get our hands on right around any sort of land or water crossing, all the way up from Quebec and down and around through Ontario and all the way across the plains and into British Columbia, curving all the way up to our Alaskan border,” Democrats Abroad country chair for Canada Erin Kotecki Vest said.
The campaign estimates that most Americans living in Canada are Democrats, according to POLITICO.
Vice President Kamala Harris raised $152,170 from Americans living there while Trump didn’t receive a single donation.
Heyman points to the 2020 Election in Georgia as the potential impact that his effort could have.
Biden won the state by 11,779 votes while about 18,000 ballots came in from overseas.
