Celebrities are always pushing leftist ideas no matter how ridiculous.

And if they can batter everyday Americans over the head with their left-wing agenda while also rubbing their wealth in everyone’s faces, they’re probably doing it.

But Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck is rethinking everything after one terrible thing happened.

Batman’s Bidenmobile breaks down

Ben Affleck has had a rough go of things lately.

People were optimistic when he married actress Jennifer Lopez, 20 years after their “Bennifer” tabloid romance.

Alas, it was not meant to be.

Affleck and Lopez are headed for divorce.

Adding insult to injury, Aflleck’s electric Ford Bronco broke down on the highway during an outing with his 12-year-old son.

The New York Post reported that “Ben Affleck’s electric Ford Bronco broke down on the side of a freeway while driving with his son, Samuel. The ‘Gone Girl’ star and the 12-year-old were photographed riding in the Tiffany blue-colored vehicle Saturday before it malfunctioned . . . [T]heir day came to an abrupt halt when Affleck’s truck was seen being loaded onto the back of a tow truck and removed off the side of the freeway.”

Ford does not make an official EV Bronco, but companies like Kindred Motorworks have created a custom model that costs at least $250,000.

Meanwhile, a gas-powered 2024 Ford Bronco costs roughly $40,000.

The stark difference in cost is one reason why demand for electric vehicles is relatively soft.

Some manufacturers like Tesla have done well, but there is not enough demand to meet the artificial supply being pushed by Joe Biden and others on the Left.

Reality of the EV landscape

In fact, manufacturers are scaling back their EV fleets because there simply are not enough buyers.

One reason why is because of the exorbitant costs that dealerships must bear.

The Street reported that Ford “[d]ealers that wanted to be a Model e Certified dealer needed to invest up to $500,000 in training and charging equipment, while those that opted to be a Model e Certified Elite dealer were looking at an investment of up to $1.2 million.”

The shifting EV landscape has caused Ford to rethink its certification program.

Ford Model e COO Marin Gjaja told AutoNews, “At this point, we’re basically saying we want to lower the bar to let people get in. . .We’ll probably have to continue to evolve from here, but we wanted to get everyone in because what we’re seeing is a market that is evolving and the customer needs support. We’d rather have more dealers in helping us with that.”

And while the Biden administration talks a good game, it spent billions of dollars only to build a handful of charging stations.

The Washington Post reported that “President Biden has long vowed to build 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations in the United States by 2030. . .But now, more than two years after Congress allocated $7.5 billion to help build out those stations, only 7 EV charging stations are operational across four states.”

Spending an absurd $1 billion per charging station is asinine.

It doesn’t take Batman, the world’s greatest detective, to figure out what’s wrong with the EV market.
