America’s enemies are getting bolder by the day.

They know our borders have been compromised and our defenses are weak.

And two Chinese spies were arrested for one scary plot that has officials on red alert.

Two Chinese nationals arrested for smuggling crop-killing bioweapon

The FBI arrested two Chinese nationals in June who were caught red-handed smuggling a deadly fungus into the United States.

Yunqing Jian, 33, and her boyfriend Zunyong Liu, 34, were charged with conspiracy, smuggling goods into the U.S., false statements and visa fraud.

But this wasn’t your typical smuggling operation.

These weren’t drug dealers trying to make a quick buck or human traffickers exploiting desperate people.

Jian and Liu were caught smuggling Fusarium graminearum, a toxic fungus that causes crop-killing "head blight" in wheat, barley, maize and rice.

According to the Department of Justice, this bioweapon "is responsible for billions of dollars in economic losses worldwide each year."

Federal prosecutors say this fungus is toxic to humans and can cause vomiting, liver damage and "reproductive defects in humans and livestock."²

Jian was working as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Michigan, and her research was funded in part by the People’s Republic of China.

Liu was stopped at Detroit Metropolitan Airport in July 2024 while trying to smuggle the fungus hidden in four plastic bags concealed inside tissues in his backpack.

Border Patrol agents discovered the fungus during a search after Liu initially lied about what was in his bag.

Expert warns this could threaten America’s "survival as a nation"

Former Department of Homeland Security official Kristofor Healey spent 15 years working in immigration enforcement and counter-corruption operations.

He knows a thing or two about threats to American national security.

And what he discovered about Chinese agroterrorism should terrify every American.

"Agroterrorism is any attempt to bring items into the United States intentionally that would impact our food supply," Healey told Fox News Digital.¹

He warned that biological organisms like the one seized in Michigan could "attack items that are key to our agricultural survival as a nation."

Think about that for a second.

America feeds not just itself, but much of the world.

Our agricultural system is the backbone of our economy and our way of life.

"Obviously, we’re an agricultural-based economy in many ways, so anything that’s attacking our wheat, our barley, the basic standard of what goes into so many of our food products that’s being introduced intentionally, that’s being introduced by a foreign threat to cause disruption," Healey explained.

"It’s the same as any sort of other type of terrorism that’s attacking a civilian population. It’s just attacking it from that agricultural standpoint."

Americans don’t understand the real Chinese threat

Healey dropped this bombshell about how vulnerable America really is to Chinese attacks.

"I don’t think Americans really understand or really recognize the threat that the [Chinese Communist Party] actually holds, and how much our economy is built into the CCP-run economy," he stated.

The expert warned that if a major conflict broke out – like a war over Taiwan – the United States wouldn’t be prepared for what China could unleash on our crops and critical infrastructure.

"[Agriculture] is a very vulnerable part of our nation’s infrastructure if you have individuals who are coming into this country, as was the case in Michigan, who are coming to study, who have a lab background, who have a background in this sort of development of these sort of organisms," Healey said.

Chinese operatives with "ill-intent" could cause "severe disruption to our food safety" and "severe destruction to what essentially goes into keeping America running."

This is biological warfare, plain and simple

While the United States focuses on keeping out bombs and weapons, Healey argued we’re not paying enough attention to agricultural and biological terror threats.

Especially after what happened with COVID-19.

"I would suggest that is something we need to be thinking about a lot more, because we just came off, five years ago, the entire world being shut down by what now appears to be a biological item that leaked from a laboratory and then infected millions of people and killed millions of people around the globe," he warned.

The Chinese Communist Party has already shown they’re willing to unleash biological weapons on the world.

COVID-19 escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology and killed millions of people across the globe.

Now they’re targeting America’s food supply with crop-killing bioweapons.

This isn’t some far-fetched conspiracy theory.

This is happening right now, and the FBI has the evidence to prove it.

Americans need to prepare for the worst

Healey had some sobering advice for Americans who want to protect their families from Chinese biological warfare.

"You don’t have to be a prepper and build a silo in Nebraska and bury all your food supplies and wait for the end of the road, but you do have to be thinking a little bit down the road," he said.

"Be prepared in the sense that you’re the kind of person who’s looking down the road. Not 24 hours in the future, but looking weeks and sometimes months in the future and preparing accordingly."

The Chinese Communist Party has declared war on America’s food supply.

They’ve already infiltrated our universities and research labs with operatives like Jian and Liu.

How many more Chinese spies are studying deadly bioweapons in American labs right now?

How many more crop-killing fungi are being smuggled across our borders?

The Biden-Harris administration left our borders wide open for four years, allowing God knows what to enter our country.

President Donald Trump is working to secure our borders and protect America from foreign threats.

But the damage may already be done.

The Chinese Communist Party has shown they’re willing to kill millions of people to advance their agenda.

Now they’re coming for our food supply.
