The radical Left has been spinning the Los Angeles riots as heroic resistance to Trump’s deportation efforts.
But they’ve been hiding the real story from the American people.
And Border Czar Tom Homan just revealed the shocking truth behind the LA riots that Democrats don’t want you to know.
The media won’t tell you what ICE was really doing in Los Angeles
The mainstream media has been working overtime to paint Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers as jackbooted thugs terrorizing innocent families in Los Angeles.
Democrats like Governor Gavin Newsom and Representative Maxine Waters have been fanning the flames with inflammatory rhetoric.
Waters even confronted National Guard troops, telling them "If you shoot me, you better shoot straight" when they denied her entry to a federal building.
But Border Czar Tom Homan set the record straight during an appearance on Fox & Friends Monday morning.
He revealed that the riots didn’t start because ICE was randomly rounding up families.
The violence erupted when ICE agents were serving criminal felony warrants on suspects involved in financing Mexican drug cartels.
"I keep hearing the term ‘ICE raid, ICE raid.’ What happened? How this riot started: ICE was serving criminal warrants in a serious investigation into money transfers to Mexican cartels as part of an overall conspiracy," Homan explained.
"ICE was arresting bad people and following up on a criminal investigation into car-theft financing. ICE took dangerous people off the street that day."
The operation was targeting criminals who were involved in money laundering and sending money to criminal cartels in Latin American countries.
Democrats are lying about what ICE actually arrested
The Left wants Americans to believe that ICE agents were targeting innocent immigrants.
But Homan revealed the truth about who was actually arrested.
"We arrested someone with an armed-robbery conviction; we made L.A. safer," Homan stated.
These weren’t families trying to make a better life in America.
These were hardened criminals with serious felony convictions who were helping finance the operations of violent Mexican cartels.
The same cartels that are responsible for smuggling deadly drugs across the border and contributing to the overdose crisis that kills over 100,000 Americans every year.
But instead of celebrating the removal of dangerous criminals from their streets, Los Angeles residents rioted and attacked law enforcement officers.
Newsom and Waters are inciting violence with their reckless rhetoric
Homan didn’t mince words when it came to the role Democrat politicians played in stoking the violence.
He pointed the finger directly at Newsom for his pathetic response to the riots.
"He waited two days of the city burning and officers being assaulted before he made a declaration of unlawful assembly," Homan said.
While Los Angeles burned and police officers were attacked, Newsom sat on his hands instead of taking action to restore order.
Homan also called out the dangerous rhetoric coming from Democrat leaders in Congress.
"All you hear is rhetoric about ICE being racists and Nazis and terrorists—and Governor Newsom feeds that, just like Hakeem Jeffries feeds it, that they’re going to unmask ICE agents," Homan explained.
"The members of Congress feeding this rhetoric are the ones inciting this riot because they don’t listen to the truth about what the men and women of ICE are doing."
Democrats have been demonizing ICE agents as storm troopers when they’re actually heroes putting their lives on the line to keep Americans safe.
The media is covering up the truth about the riots
Homan also took aim at the dishonest media coverage of the riots and his recent interview with NBC News.
"That reporter from MSNBC—he’s a joke, does honest reporting," Homan said, referring to NBC’s Jacob Soboroff.
The mainstream media has been spinning the riots as peaceful protests against deportation.
But Homan made it clear that there’s a difference between exercising First Amendment rights and committing crimes.
"You can protest; you have First Amendment rights. When you cross that line and put hands on an ICE officer or impede law enforcement, that is a crime. The Trump administration will not allow that," Homan declared.
The media doesn’t want Americans to know that the riots started when ICE was targeting cartel financiers and armed robbers.
They’d rather portray it as Trump’s jackbooted thugs terrorizing innocent families.
No one is above the law under President Trump
When asked about whether Governor Newsom or Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could be arrested for interfering with federal immigration enforcement, Homan was crystal clear.
"No one is above the law," Homan stated.
That’s a message that Democrat politicians across the country need to hear loud and clear.
For too long, sanctuary city mayors and governors have thumbed their nose at federal immigration law.
They’ve created safe havens for criminals and cartel operatives while putting American citizens at risk.
But those days are over under President Trump’s leadership.
ICE agents are going to do their jobs and arrest criminals regardless of whether Democrat politicians like it or not.
And if those politicians try to interfere with federal law enforcement, they’re going to face consequences.
The American people elected Donald Trump to secure the border and remove dangerous criminals from our communities.
Democrats can cry and riot all they want, but ICE is going to keep making America safer by taking cartel financiers and armed robbers off the streets.
