MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski thought she could trap Donald Trump’s border czar with gotcha journalism.
She was about to learn a painful lesson about trying to spin facts.

The Morning Joe crew never passes up a chance to attack Trump’s immigration policies.
Co-host Mika Brzezinski invited border czar Tom Homan onto the show thinking she could embarrass him about ICE operations in Massachusetts.
Big mistake.
Homan came loaded with facts about the criminals ICE agents had been arresting in Boston – and he wasn’t about to let Brzezinski spread lies about his people.
The trouble started when Brzezinski brought up claims from Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey about ICE conducting enforcement operations at a church.
That’s when Homan dropped the hammer.
"Right now, I see on the show this morning, you had [Democratic Massachusetts] Governor [Maura] Healey on the show talking about ICE doing enforcement operations at a church. False. Didn’t happen," Homan fired back.
Two words: "Didn’t happen."
And just like that, Brzezinski’s entire line of attack crumbled.
Homan schools MSNBC with criminal arrest details
But Homan wasn’t done dismantling the media narrative.
He went down the list of exactly who ICE agents had been arresting in Massachusetts.
And the details were stomach-turning.
"Let me tell you in the last couple of days [about] what’s happened in Boston. They’ve arrested Victor Gomez Perez, a 33-year-old criminal alien from Guatemala with charges of aggravated rape, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, indecent assault and battery on a victim 14 years or younger," Homan explained to a visibly uncomfortable Brzezinski.
He continued rattling off the arrests: a Colombian national charged with "aggravated assault on a pregnant victim," a 23-year-old from the Dominican Republic for drug trafficking, and another illegal immigrant who committed assault and battery on a child.
These weren’t the "harmless people" Brzezinski was trying to portray.
These were predators and violent criminals who had no business being in this country.
Brzezinski kept interrupting and demanding more data, clearly frustrated that her ambush interview was backfiring spectacularly.
The border czar exposes media hypocrisy
Look, here’s what’s really going on with this whole exchange.
Brzezinski and her MSNBC colleagues have been pushing this narrative that ICE agents are just randomly snatching up innocent immigrants.
It’s complete garbage – and Homan proved it with cold, hard facts about rapists and child predators being taken off American streets.
When Brzezinski accused ICE of "disappearing people," Homan called it what it was: "disgusting."
"U.S. citizens get arrested by police everyday. Are they being disappeared? No, the laws are being enforced, they’re being arrested, they’re being put in detention because they committed a criminal offense," Homan stated.
The man’s got a point that should be obvious to anyone with half a brain.
Law enforcement arrests criminals – that’s literally their job description.
But leave it to MSNBC to make it sound sinister when ICE does exactly what local cops do every single day.
Trump’s immigration success drives media crazy
Here’s why this exchange matters so much.
Trump’s second-term immigration enforcement is working exactly as promised.
As of July, the administration has arrested over 300,000 illegal immigrants since January 20.
Among those arrests, 70% were criminals charged or convicted of various crimes.
At one new facility in Louisiana alone, 26 of 51 detained illegal immigrants were convicted murderers, eight were convicted rapists, and nine were convicted of sexual assault against minors.
These aren’t statistics – they’re dangerous predators who were walking free in American communities until Trump and Homan cleaned house.
And that success is driving the mainstream media absolutely insane.
They can’t stand that their "cruel deportation" narrative falls apart when you look at who’s actually being arrested.
Brzezinski thought she could gotcha Homan with church parking lot complaints.
Instead, she got a master class in why immigration enforcement matters from someone who actually knows what he’s talking about.
The woman spent the entire interview getting fact-checked in real time – and it wasn’t pretty to watch.
