CBS News caught red-handed pushing fake Pentagon story
Democrats have been gunning for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ever since President Trump nominated the combat veteran.
The left-wing attack machine kicked into high gear when CBS News “reported” that Hegseth ordered an expensive makeup studio installed at the Pentagon.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) couldn’t wait to pile on, firing off a social media post that showed her true colors.
“Pete Hegseth is treating the Pentagon like it’s a Fox News set—ordering a makeup studio while leaking sensitive information in Signal chats,” Crockett wrote. “This is what happens when you put clout-chasers in charge of national security.”
But there was one tiny problem with Crockett’s hit job.
The story was completely made up.
Hegseth demolished both CBS News and Crockett with just two sentences on social media.
“Totally fake story. No ‘orders’ and no ‘makeup’ — but whatever,” Hegseth wrote.
But the Defense Secretary wasn’t done. He delivered a knockout blow that left Crockett speechless.
“We should have installed tampon machines in every men’s bathroom at DoD instead — the leftist ‘news’ media would have loved that,” Hegseth added.

Crockett’s anti-American agenda exposed for all to see
Jasmine Crockett has quickly established herself as one of the most radical members of Congress.
The far-left Democrat spends more time attacking conservatives on television than actually representing her constituents.
She’s a card-carrying member of “The Squad” who never misses an opportunity to trash America or conservatives.
Remember when she showed up to the State of the Union dressed like a circus performer with giant gold “abortion” earrings?
That’s who’s attacking our Defense Secretary – a radical who can’t be bothered to dress appropriately for the most important speech of the year.
Now she’s spreading fake news about Hegseth in a desperate attempt to damage the Trump administration.
Talk about embarrassing.
Democrats can’t stand a real patriot running the Pentagon
Crockett’s attack was clearly coordinated with other anti-Trump forces in Washington.
Democrats have been demanding Hegseth’s resignation over a controversy involving defense plans about operations against the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists.
They thought the fabricated makeup studio story would be the perfect way to paint Hegseth as vain and wasteful.
Instead, Hegseth turned the tables and reminded Americans about the radical gender ideology Democrats tried to force down our throats.
His “tampon machines” comment was a direct shot at failed Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz, who as Minnesota governor signed legislation requiring tampons in boys’ bathrooms.
That’s the kind of insanity Democrats want to bring back to Washington.
And they’re furious that President Trump hasn’t caved to their demands to fire Hegseth.
A combat veteran versus political hacks
The difference between Hegseth and Crockett couldn’t be more stark.
Hegseth served three combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, putting his life on the line for this country.
Crockett is a first-term congresswoman most famous for wearing outlandish outfits and making outrageous statements on cable news.
While Hegseth is working to rebuild America’s military after years of Biden-Harris weakness, Crockett is playing political games with our national security.
The Pentagon became a social justice laboratory under the previous administration, with pronoun training and drag queen shows replacing combat readiness.
Hegseth is changing that – and the Left can’t stand it.
After Democrats’ humiliating defeat in 2024, Walz struggled to understand why Americans rejected their far-left agenda.
“We were pledging to be inclusive. We were pledging to bring people in,” Walz said in December. “Donald Trump has said that that isn’t what he wants, and so if that’s what America is leaning towards, I guess for me, it’s to understand and learn more about America because I thought that they were going to probably move towards a more positive message.”
Translation: Americans are just too stupid to appreciate our brilliance.
Hegseth won’t be bullied by the radical Left
Crockett and her liberal media allies thought they could bully Hegseth into submission.
They were dead wrong.
He’s not some career bureaucrat who will crumble under pressure – he’s a battle-tested warrior who’s been shot at by real enemies.
The Left’s pathetic attempt to manufacture a fake controversy backfired spectacularly.
And President Trump is standing firmly behind his Defense Secretary.
