Americans have found it laughable that Kamala Harris is attempting to run as the “change” candidate when the Biden-Harris administration has made a mess of the country.
Pete Buttigieg has been neck-deep in some of the worst responses to man-made disasters witnessed in recent memory.
Now Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris hit disaster victims with one nasty message.
Migrant crisis hampers disaster relief
Of Joe Biden’s many failures as President, his two biggest were reversing Donald Trump’s effective immigration policies, and tapping Kamala Harris to be the border czar.
Those decisions facilitated the worst illegal immigration crisis in American history.
As many as 10 million illegal aliens poured into the country since January 2021.
Conservatives have been sounding the alarm on the problem for ages, and now Democrats are beginning to understand the consequences.
For starters, money used on the illegal immigration crisis was taken from FEMA.
And now that there is an actual emergency in light of Hurricane Helene, the agency is broke.
The New York Post reported, “The next Americans to get slammed by the Harris-Biden border disaster: hurricane victims! Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas, who also oversees the Federal Emergency Management Agency, announced Wednesday that ‘FEMA does not have the funds to make it’ through the rest of hurricane season — because it’s already emptied its emergency kitty on illegal-migrant expenses.”
When Donald Trump talks about putting America first, this is precisely what he’s talking about.
American citizens should be getting resources before people who illegally came into the country yesterday.
The Post continued, “It’s now sending Helene victims $750 checks to finish off a fund of just $10 million to help hurricane survivors buy groceries. President Biden’s answer: Have Congress give FEMA a fresh cash infusion. Meanwhile, FEMA’s devoted $641 million this year just to help state and local governments handle the influx.”
Illegal immigration has real-world consequences.
Embattled New York Mayor Eric Adams ominously said the illegal alien crisis would “destroy New York City.”
That was after Adams and other Democrats virtue-signaled and designated their cities “sanctuary” jurisdictions.
Mayor Pete making things worse
Worse yet, people providing aid to flood victims in desperate need of a shutdown thanks to “Mayor” Pete Buttigieg.
Buttigieg grounded drones providing essential aid to people in need.
The Department of Transportation said on its official social media account, “Drone pilots: Do not fly your drone near or around rescue and recovery efforts for Hurricane Helene. . .Interfering with emergency response operations impacts search and rescue operations on the ground.”
It’s speculated by some Americans that Buttigieg wants to make sure that only cronies receiving federal dollars can send in goods.
The New York Post added, “Also drawing critical fire is Pete Buttigieg’s Transportation Department, which on Tuesday ordered the grounding of all private drones in the North Carolina flood zone — even though drones have been delivering insulin, baby formula and other crucial supplies to isolated flood victims. Apparently, people are supposed to wait for official help: Tell that screaming infant to be patient.”
Where were Biden and Harris during this disaster?
Biden was on a beach in Delaware, and Harris was at a fundraiser in Los Angeles.
Democrats want it both ways.
They slam Republicans if they don’t visit a disaster site, but then they accuse Republicans of “exploiting” trauma if they do visit a disaster site.
Meanwhile, Democrats can do whatever they want without facing harsh criticism from the media.
