Democrat politicians love to lecture Americans about “dangerous rhetoric” and “threats to democracy.”
But their silence speaks volumes when Trump supporters are hit with violence.
And Governor Josh Shapiro is desperately trying to hide what happened to these Pennsylvania Trump voters.
Letters promised nighttime visits to Trump supporters’ homes
Trump supporters in the Philadelphia area allege they got a nasty surprise in their mailboxes last October.
The threatening letters arrived just weeks before the 2024 election, targeting residents who dared to display Trump signs on their properties.
“[W]e know where you live, you are in the data base [sic]. In the dead of a cold winters [sic] night, this year, or next and beyond, there is no knowing what may happen,” the chilling messages warned.
The threats made it crystal clear that families and pets weren’t off limits.
“Your property, your family may be impacted, your cat may get shot. And more,” the letters stated.
Each threatening letter featured a Trump 2024 logo at the top, mocking the recipients’ political choice.
The letters ended with a bone-chilling promise: “Your vote for this guy is seen as treading on my rights. You tread on me at your peril, motherf***er. We look forward to visiting in the future.”
Watchdog group steps in after Pennsylvania authorities disappeared
Six months passed with zero action from Pennsylvania law enforcement.
That’s when the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) stepped up to do what Governor Josh Shapiro’s administration wouldn’t.
PILF filed a federal lawsuit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The lawsuit aims to unmask the anonymous thugs who threatened Trump voters and hold them accountable for violating the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871.
- Christian Adams, PILF President, explained the shocking situation on the April 21 episode of the John Solomon Reports podcast.
“[W]e’re alleging that you aren’t allowed under federal law to threaten to kill people if they say they want to vote for Trump. It just doesn’t work that way in America — you actually cannot intimidate people with death threats if they want to vote,” Adams said.
Josh Shapiro’s “Election Threats Task Force” mysteriously missing in action
The deafening silence from Pennsylvania’s Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro has many wondering if threats only matter when they target the right people.
“And by the way, where is the Pennsylvania [Governor] Josh Shapiro on this? Like, wasn’t he just grandstanding about, you know, political rhetoric and toning it down? Well, here we go, Josh, how about the Pennsylvania State Police who’ve done nothing?” Adams demanded.
The hypocrisy couldn’t be more glaring.
In February 2024, Shapiro launched the “Pennsylvania Election Threats Task Force” with great fanfare.
He claimed the task force would “mitigate threats to the election process, protect voters from intimidation, and provide voters with accurate, trusted election information.”
But when Trump supporters received real death threats, Shapiro’s task force vanished into thin air.
The threatened Trump supporters did everything right.
According to the lawsuit, both contacted local police immediately after receiving the threatening letters.
Months later, they still haven’t heard back.
One even met with a U.S. Postal Inspector since the threats arrived through the mail.
Nothing happened.
Conservatives forced to defend themselves when government won’t
Adams didn’t mince words about the shocking abandonment of Trump supporters by Pennsylvania officials.
One purpose of the lawsuit is “to find out what the Pennsylvania State Police and the postal inspectors are doing. It shouldn’t be up to private groups like the Public Interest Legal Foundation to get to the bottom of death threats in a federal election,” Adams said.
The lawsuit seeks a permanent injunction against whoever sent the letters and anyone working with them.
The case exposes the Democrats’ “election integrity” game for what it really is — protection for some, silence for others.
When Democrat officials talk about “threats to democracy,” it’s becoming clear they don’t mean threats against all Americans — just their voters.
