Democrats spent years insisting voter fraud was a myth.
That narrative just took a hit they won't recover from.
And Ohio just delivered one painful message about voter fraud that Democrats will hate.
Election integrity has become a dirty phrase on the Left.
Democrats denounce anyone who questions ballot security as conspiracy theorists spreading dangerous misinformation.
Ohio just shoved the evidence right in their faces.
Secretary of State uncovers massive voter fraud operation
Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced that his office referred 1,200 criminal cases of vote fraud to the Department of Justice for potential federal prosecution.¹
The evidence is damning.
LaRose's Election Integrity Unit identified 1,084 noncitizens who appear to have registered to vote unlawfully in Ohio.²
Of those, 167 actually cast ballots in federal elections spanning 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.³
The investigation also uncovered 99 people who voted in two states during the same federal election, 16 who voted twice in Ohio, and 14 who cast ballots after their death.⁴
LaRose didn't mince words about what his team discovered.
"Ohio has earned its reputation as the Gold Standard, and our Election Integrity Unit continues to prove why," LaRose said.⁵
"We work tirelessly to ensure that every eligible voter's voice is heard, and anyone who tries to cheat the system will face serious consequences."
Local prosecutors wouldn't prosecute, so LaRose bypassed them and went to Bondi.
LaRose established Ohio's Election Integrity Unit in 2022.He hired former cops and investigators to run it.⁶
They started matching up voter rolls with DMV records, checking them against Homeland Security files, Social Security information, and jury pool data.⁷
Local prosecutors wouldn't touch the evidence
LaRose brought the cases to county prosecutors first.
Most of them buried the evidence.
Out of 621 criminal referrals LaRose made for voter fraud, prosecutors secured indictments against just nine people over a ten-year period.⁸
Nine. Out of 621.
That's not incompetence – that's deliberate.
"In these cases, the county prosecutor has decided for whatever reason not to take them up," LaRose explained.⁹
"We're sending them along to the federal government to see if they want to prosecute these cases."
Democrat prosecutors in Democrat counties won't enforce election law when it catches illegal voting that benefits their party.
Last year LaRose's office identified 633 possible cases of voter fraud.¹⁰
County prosecutors acted on only 12 of them.
You read that right. They had 633 cases with evidence, and chose to prosecute 12.
Meanwhile, LaRose has been busy cleaning up Ohio's voter rolls.
His office removed more than 155,000 voter registrations that were confirmed abandoned and inactive for at least four consecutive years.¹¹
The Secretary also sued the Biden Administration for refusing to provide data that could have helped identify wrongful voter registrations even earlier.¹²
LaRose's aggressive approach to election integrity has made Ohio the national model.
He's issued six statewide election security directives, more than any previous Secretary of State.¹³
The state now requires dual-control lock systems for all voting equipment, video monitoring of sensitive areas for 14 days, and weekly vulnerability scans of election systems.¹⁴
President Trump recognized LaRose's leadership this month for expanding state access to federal government records needed to verify voter registrations.¹⁵
Democrats just lost their favorite lie
Democrats and their media allies spent years calling election fraud concerns a dangerous conspiracy theory.
Noncitizen voting doesn't happen, they said.
Voter roll maintenance is voter suppression, they claimed.
Anyone questioning ballot security was undermining democracy itself.
Ohio just buried that lie with 1,084 pieces of hard evidence.
Every single one of those 167 noncitizens who cast ballots stole a vote from an actual American citizen.
In close elections, a few hundred illegal votes can flip the outcome of congressional races, state legislative seats, or even statewide contests.
Democrats know this, which is why local prosecutors refused to act on LaRose's referrals.
They'd rather let illegal voting continue than risk losing elections they shouldn't have won.
Now Attorney General Bondi's DOJ will decide whether to prosecute these cases under federal election law.
Unlike Biden's politicized Justice Department that weaponized the system against Trump and his supporters, Bondi has made clear she'll enforce the law equally.
The Trump Administration has already charged several noncitizens for illegal voting this year, signaling a new era of accountability.
Ohio's investigation exposes what every other state is hiding by refusing to look.
If Ohio found over 1,000 fraudulent noncitizen registrations with 167 illegal votes, imagine what's happening in California, New York, and Illinois where nobody's investigating.
Democrats fought voter ID laws, opposed citizenship verification requirements, and sued states that tried to clean voter rolls.
They didn't do this to protect legitimate votes.
They did it because sloppy voter rolls and corrupt prosecutors willing to look the other way keep them in power.
LaRose's investigation just exposed the whole rotten system – and now Attorney General Bondi gets to prosecute what local Democrats refused to touch.
