Nancy Pelosi signals her support for mass amnesty for illegal aliens
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is still one of the biggest powerbrokers in the Democrat Party.
She led the charge to force President Joe Biden to step aside after he face-planted during the June Presidential debate.
When the 84-year-old Democrat institution speaks, it’s generally assumed she’s voicing the position of her party.
Pelosi appeared as a guest on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, where she expressed her support for mass amnesty for illegal aliens and a controversial bill in California.
The California State Legislature passed AB 1840 which would make illegal aliens in the state who are first-time home buyers eligible to receive up to $150,000 in taxpayer-funded down payment assistance from the California Housing Finance Agency.
Host Bill Maher asked Pelosi about the bill which is awaiting the signature of California Governor Gavin Newsom.
“That’s kind of a different place than the Democratic Party used to be on immigration, is it not?” Maher asked.
“Well, let me just say, immigration had always been a bipartisan issue,” Pelosi replied.
“But not free housing,” Maher noted.
Pelosi spun it in a way that only a politician who spent decades in Washington, D.C.’s “Swamp” could.
“Well, that’s not free housing,” Pelosi said. “It’s the American Dream being available to more people.”
Pelosi sets up the next big political debate in Washington, D.C.
Pelosi lamented that more Republicans weren’t supportive of illegal immigration like in the past.
Maher asked if she would vote for California’s housing giveaway to illegal aliens.
“Well, I’m not familiar with exactly what that is, but making the American dream of homeownership available to all people is something we have to do for people who are here now,” Pelosi said.
“This is before you’re a citizen,” a surprised Maher stated. “This is for the undocumented.”
“Well, what I would like to do is move them to documented,” Pelosi replied. “One of the best things we can do for our economy is pass comprehensive immigration reform.”
Comprehensive immigration reform is the Democrats’ code word for mass amnesty for illegal aliens.
If Pelosi is talking about it then it’s almost certainly one of the top priorities for Democrats if they get full control of Washington, D.C next year.
More than 11 million illegal aliens – more than the population of North Carolina – have entered the country during the Biden-Harris administration’s border crisis.
There could be as many as 30 million illegal aliens – roughly equal to Texas’ population – in the country, according to some estimates.
Granting mass amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and making them citizens overnight would fundamentally transform the country.
And dramatically alter the political landscape by adding millions of new Democrat-leaning voters.
That’s why Democrats are hell-bent on trying to pass a mass amnesty bill.
