They ran a story titled "Melania Trump ‘Very Involved’ in Epstein Scandal: Author" that made completely false claims about how the First Lady met President Trump.
The story was based entirely on the rantings of discredited author Michael Wolff, who has a track record of making up stories about the Trump family.
Wolff claimed without any evidence that Melania was introduced to Trump through Jeffrey Epstein’s network of associates.
"She’s introduced by a model agent, both of whom Trump and Epstein are involved with," Wolff alleged on their podcast. "She’s introduced to Trump that way. Epstein knows her well."
The whole story was garbage from start to finish.
But Daily Beast ran with it anyway because it fit their anti-Trump narrative.
Melania’s legal team wasn’t having any of this nonsense.
They contacted the outlet and made it crystal clear that these lies wouldn’t be tolerated.
Daily Beast initially tried to save face by just retracting the story without admitting they were wrong.
But that wasn’t good enough.
The First Lady’s attorneys kept the pressure on until the outlet was forced to issue a full public apology.
"Upon reflection, we have determined that the article did not meet our standards and has therefore been removed from our platforms," Daily Beast finally admitted last week.
"We apologize to the First Lady and our readers."
Michael Wolff’s history of making up stories about Trump
Look, here’s what makes this whole thing so infuriating.
Michael Wolff isn’t some respected journalist who accidentally got a story wrong.
This guy has built his entire career on writing fiction and calling it political reporting.
Even President Trump has called him out as a "Third Rate Reporter … laughed at even by the scoundrels of the Fake News."
Wolff’s previous books about the Trump administration were packed with anonymous sources making outrageous claims that couldn’t be verified.
But the fake news media treated him like he was Bob Woodward breaking Watergate.
Now he’s targeting the First Lady with completely made-up stories about her personal life.
And outlets like Daily Beast were happy to amplify his lies without doing any fact-checking whatsoever.
The real story of how Melania met Donald Trump is right there in her bestselling memoir.
She explains that they met at a September 1998 Fashion Week party at the Kit Kat Klub in New York City.¹
Trump sat down next to his future wife and started a conversation.
"I found myself drawn to his magnetic energy," she wrote.
They got engaged six years later and married in 2005.
No Epstein. No shadowy modeling agents. Just two people who met at a party and fell in love.
But that wholesome story doesn’t fit the left’s narrative that everything Trump touches must be corrupt.
The coordinated attack on Melania Trump
Here’s the thing that should make you absolutely furious.
This wasn’t just one rogue outlet making a mistake.
This was part of a coordinated campaign to destroy the First Lady’s reputation using completely fabricated stories.
Democratic strategist James Carville got caught spreading the same lies on his podcast last month.²
He was also forced to apologize and scrub the episode after Melania’s lawyers contacted him.
Even Hunter Biden jumped on the bandwagon, repeating Wolff’s bogus claims in a YouTube interview.³
Melania’s attorney has threatened to sue the crackhead for "over $ 1 billion dollars" for his "false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements."

The left is so desperate to attack Trump that they’ll go after his wife with completely made-up stories.
They can’t beat him on policy, so they resort to character assassination using lies.
