Los Angeles Dodgers Got Hit With a Lawsuit From a Trump Ally Over This Woke Disaster

The Dodgers thought playing woke politics was a home run strategy.

They figured their DEI discrimination would slide right past federal civil rights law.

But the Los Angeles Dodgers got hit with a lawsuit from a Trump ally over this woke disaster.

Stephen Miller isn’t just serving as President Trump’s White House deputy chief of staff for policy.

He’s also using his nonprofit America First Legal to wage war against corporate wokeness across the country.

And the Los Angeles Dodgers just found themselves in Miller’s crosshairs.

America First Legal filed a federal civil rights complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against the Dodgers and investment firm Guggenheim Partners for engaging in unlawful discrimination disguised as "diversity, equity, and inclusion."¹

The complaint alleges both organizations "appear to be engaging in similar unlawful DEI practices by allowing race, color, and sex to motivate employment decisions," according to Axios.¹

Both entities share the same leadership in Mark Walter, who serves as majority owner of the Dodgers and CEO of Guggenheim Partners.¹

This isn’t some frivolous lawsuit.

This is a direct challenge to the entire DEI industrial complex that’s infected corporate America.

AFL Attorney Calls Out Corporate Discrimination

America First Legal attorney Will Scolinos didn’t mince words when explaining why they’re targeting the Dodgers.

"AFL has once again stepped up to the plate, standing up for Americans against major corporations committed to discriminating based on race, color, national origin, and sex," Scolinos said.¹

He made it crystal clear that friendly terminology doesn’t make discrimination legal.

"AFL will stand firm, taking the fight to influential corporations until their policies reflect that there is no ‘right’ kind of discrimination, even if they use the friendliest ‘inclusion’ terminology," Scolinos explained. "Discrimination based on race, color, and sex is always wrong."¹

The attorney used a perfect baseball metaphor to drive home their mission: "By taking on the Dodgers and Guggenheim Partners, we are requesting the EEOC call balls and strikes and enforce the rule of law."¹

Translation: DEI programs that consider race and sex in hiring decisions violate federal civil rights law, no matter how they dress it up.

Dodgers Double Down on Woke Politics

The timing of this lawsuit couldn’t be more perfect.

The reigning World Series champion Dodgers recently committed $1 million toward "direct financial assistance for families of migrants impacted by the surge in immigration and Customs Enforcement detentions and deportations in the region."¹

So let’s get this straight.

While President Trump is working to secure America’s borders and deport illegal aliens who shouldn’t be here, the Dodgers are spending a million dollars to help the families of people being rightfully removed from our country.

The Dodgers are literally funding resistance to federal immigration law enforcement.

That’s not just virtue signaling – that’s actively undermining the rule of law.

MLB Already Feeling the Heat

The complaint against the Dodgers comes as Major League Baseball is already retreating from woke policies under pressure from the Trump administration.

In March, MLB quietly removed the word "diversity" from its MLB Careers home page following President Trump’s executive order.¹

That executive order made it clear that "hardworking Americans who deserve a shot at the American Dream should not be stigmatized, demeaned, or shut out of opportunities because of their race or sex."¹

Smart move by MLB leadership.

They saw which way the wind was blowing and started backing away from discriminatory hiring practices.

But apparently the Dodgers didn’t get the memo.

The Broader War Against Corporate Wokeness

This lawsuit represents something much bigger than just one baseball team’s bad policies.

Stephen Miller and America First Legal are systematically dismantling the DEI infrastructure that took root during the Biden years.

They’re not just complaining about woke policies.

They’re using the legal system to force corporations to follow federal civil rights law.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was supposed to end racial discrimination in employment.

But somewhere along the way, corporations decided that discrimination was okay as long as they called it "diversity" and claimed it helped the "right" people.

Miller’s team is reminding everyone that the law doesn’t care about your good intentions.

Discrimination is discrimination, period.

Why This Matters for Every American Worker

The Dodgers case isn’t just about one sports franchise.

It’s about whether American workers will be judged by their qualifications or by their race and gender.

DEI programs routinely pass over qualified candidates because they don’t fit the right demographic profile.

That’s exactly the kind of discrimination the Civil Rights Act was designed to prevent.

Miller’s legal strategy is brilliant because it uses the left’s own civil rights laws against their discriminatory DEI schemes.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission now has to decide whether they’re going to enforce the law equally or give corporations a pass for discrimination as long as it’s the "right" kind.

Corporate America Gets the Message

The Dodgers won’t be the last corporation to face this kind of legal challenge.

Miller’s team has shown they’re willing to take on Fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams, and any other organization that thinks DEI gives them permission to discriminate.

The message is simple: follow federal civil rights law or face the consequences.

For too long, corporations have gotten away with reverse discrimination by hiding behind progressive buzzwords.

Those days are over.

Stephen Miller and America First Legal are making sure that equality under the law actually means something again.

The Dodgers are about to learn that you can’t discriminate your way to diversity – and that federal civil rights law applies to everyone, even World Series champions.
