Liz Cheney thought Joe Biden’s pardon would be her get-out-of-jail-free card.
The disgraced Wyoming Republican believed her troubles were finally over.
But Liz Cheney just got hit with bad news that will make her regret everything.
Republicans refuse to let Cheney off the hook
Joe Biden may have given RINO Liz Cheney a presidential pardon, but House Republicans aren’t done exposing her dirty deeds from the January 6 witch hunt.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) dropped a bombshell announcement that Congress will keep digging into Cheney’s corrupt committee with a brand new investigation.
Representative Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) will head up a select subcommittee under the House Judiciary Committee to continue the work he started last Congress.
Loudermilk already made Cheney’s life miserable by revealing how she twisted evidence and buried witness testimony that didn’t match her anti-Trump storyline.
Johnson fired off a scathing social media post making it crystal clear that Republicans won’t be intimidated by Biden’s last-minute pardon stunt.
“The Jan 6 Select Committee manipulated AND destroyed evidence — created a fake, phony narrative all to try and hurt Trump,” Johnson declared on X. “They even hired a TV producer from the legacy media in a desperate attempt to legitimize what Americans knew was a total hoax and complete waste of time.”
The Speaker wasn’t finished delivering the bad news to Cheney.
“Be assured of this: House Republicans WILL continue our investigation into this corrupt committee and it will be FULLY FUNDED so it can continue next Congress,” Johnson added.
Loudermilk caught Cheney red-handed
Barry Loudermilk’s previous investigation already caught Cheney in multiple lies and cover-ups that would make any honest politician blush with shame.
The Georgia Republican discovered that Cheney participated in witness interviews that completely destroyed her narrative about January 6.
One bombshell interview involved White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato back in January 2022.
Ornato dropped a truth bomb that should have ended Cheney’s investigation right there.
He told Cheney’s committee that he personally heard Chief of Staff Mark Meadows pushing Washington D.C.’s mayor to bring in as many National Guard troops as needed for January 6.
Even more damaging, Ornato revealed that President Trump himself wanted 10,000 National Guard troops deployed to keep the peace during the scheduled rallies and protests.
This testimony completely obliterated Cheney’s central claim that Trump did nothing to protect the Capitol.
But instead of releasing this game-changing evidence, Cheney buried it deeper than Jimmy Hoffa.
She even had the nerve to claim publicly that she had “no evidence” supporting Trump’s desire for National Guard protection.
That’s not incompetence – that’s deliberate deception.
Cheney’s star witness was a fraud
Loudermilk also exposed how Cheney turned a low-level Trump aide named Cassidy Hutchinson into her puppet witness.
Hutchinson started out giving boring, truthful testimony that didn’t help Cheney’s TV drama.
But after some behind-the-scenes coaching from Cheney’s team, Hutchinson suddenly remembered all sorts of dramatic details that made great television.
Her most ridiculous claim was that Trump supposedly grabbed the steering wheel of his vehicle and tried to force his way to the Capitol.
It sounded like something out of a bad action movie – because that’s essentially what it was.
The actual Secret Service agent who drove Trump that day told a completely different story.
The agent testified that Trump never grabbed the steering wheel and didn’t try to lunge into the front seat.
“I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all,” the driver stated clearly.
But Cheney kept this testimony locked away while she promoted Hutchinson’s fairy tale version on national television.
Loudermilk was so disgusted by Cheney’s witness tampering that he officially referred her for criminal prosecution.
The reckoning continues
The new investigation will have all the funding and authority needed to keep exposing Cheney’s web of lies.
Loudermilk’s team previously forced the release of thousands of hours of Capitol security footage that Cheney’s committee had hidden from the public.
Now they’ll dig even deeper into the FBI’s questionable role in January 6, including federal informants who were mixed in with the crowd.
The investigation will also examine the mysterious pipe bombs that were conveniently discovered at both Republican and Democrat party headquarters.
Congressional sources say the final details of the subcommittee’s structure and budget are being hammered out, with official authorization expected within two weeks.
Cheney probably thought Biden’s pardon would end her nightmare and let her ride off into the sunset.
Instead, she’s about to face two more years of having her corruption exposed in excruciating detail.
Every lie she told, every piece of evidence she hid, and every witness she manipulated will be dragged into the light for all Americans to see.
Biden’s pardon might keep Cheney out of prison, but it won’t save her reputation from being completely destroyed.
The woman who spent years trying to destroy Donald Trump is about to learn that karma can be a real pain.
