The Democrat Party is in complete meltdown mode.
Even their own strategists can’t defend what they’ve become.
And one former Democrat strategist exposed the truth about his party that proves conservatives have been right all along.
Democrats kicked off their summer meeting with the most tone-deaf move possible
The Democrat National Committee held their summer meeting in Minnesota this week.
And the very first item on their agenda told you everything you need to know about why they’re hemorrhaging voters.
Before discussing actual policy or strategy, Democrats opened with a "land acknowledgment" – basically apologizing for existing on land they claim was stolen from indigenous people.
Former Democrat strategist Dan Turrentine watched this unfold and couldn’t stay silent.
He went on Laura Ingraham’s show and delivered the kind of brutal honesty his party desperately needs to hear.
"Laura, you said it: it’s the definition of insanity: you just keep doing the same thing over and over again," Turrentine told the Fox News host. "And as a Democrat, it’s maddening that we’re still not serious."
The man was practically pulling his hair out watching his own party commit political suicide in real time.
A Democrat strategist admits what conservatives have known for years
Here’s where Turrentine really let his party have it.
He explained exactly why Democrats have lost 4.5 million voters and why their brand is at historic lows.
"We haven’t lost 4.5 million voters, nor is our brand at a historic low, because we don’t fight hard enough. It’s because we remain completely culturally disconnected and we have absolutely no agenda," Turrentine said.
Think about that for a moment.
A Democrat insider just admitted his party is "completely culturally disconnected" from regular Americans.
Conservatives have been saying this for years while getting called bigots and extremists.
Now their own people are finally admitting it.
Turrentine didn’t stop there with his brutal assessment.
"You said earlier in your monologue: [President Donald] Trump’s trying to solve problems," Turrentine continued. "We always offer the three P’s: the personal attacks, which you just heard: ‘He’s a dictator and authoritative.’ We argue process: ‘Oh, he shouldn’t do this, he’s violating customs and norms.’ Or it’s the press: ‘It’s their job to do it.’ And then on the cultural issues — we literally have think tanks putting memos out that ‘these are the words you’re not supposed to say.’ You add it all up and we are not in good shape."
Meanwhile, as Turrentine pointed out, Trump is actually trying to solve problems.
The party of land acknowledgments and pronouns wonders why they’re losing
While Turrentine was laying out his party’s failures, other Democrats at the meeting were proving his point perfectly.
DNC Chairman Ken Martin went full hysteria mode, claiming "a storm is coming" and calling Trump’s administration "a fascist regime."
Tim Walz – remember him? – delivered an unhinged rant that sounded like it came from a middle school cafeteria.
"Think of how easy it would be to be a damn Republican," Walz said. "Oh, what should I wear today? This stupid, frickin’ red hat. What should I say today? I don’t know, just make sure it’s cruel."
This is the same guy who lost the Vice Presidential debate so badly that even CNN couldn’t spin it.
The irony here is incredible.
Democrats are calling Republicans cruel while their own strategist is on national TV explaining how his party offers nothing but personal attacks and process arguments.
Even liberal think tanks are telling Democrats to drop the woke nonsense
The timing of Turrentine’s comments couldn’t be more perfect.
Just days before the DNC meeting, the liberal think tank Third Way released a memo telling Democrats to stop using woke jargon.
They outlined 45 words and phrases Democrats should avoid because "no ordinary person would ever dream of" saying them.
The memo warned that this language makes Democrats sound like "extreme, divisive, elitist, and obfuscatory enforcers of wokeness."
Translation: Stop talking like college professors and start talking like normal human beings.
But did Democrats listen?
Nope.
They opened their meeting with a land acknowledgment and spent the rest of the time calling Trump a fascist.
Democrats’ numbers show a party in serious decline
Turrentine’s assessment isn’t just opinion – polling data confirms his points.
Recent CNN polling shows Democrats’ favorability has dropped to just 29%.
Quinnipiac polling found only 19% approve of Democrat Congressional leadership.
That’s an all-time low.
The party is also facing serious internal problems.
They’re struggling to meet fundraising goals, dealing with constant infighting, and watching voter registration numbers crater.
This is what happens when you prioritize pronouns over paychecks and land acknowledgments over actual leadership.
What Turrentine’s honesty reveals about the Democrat Party’s future
Look, Turrentine deserves credit for telling the truth about his party.
But his honesty also reveals just how deep the Democrat Party’s problems really go.
When your own strategists are going on Fox News to explain why you’re losing, you know you’re in serious trouble.
The Democrat Party has become exactly what conservatives said it was – a collection of cultural elites who are completely disconnected from regular Americans.
They’d rather apologize for existing on stolen land than fight for better jobs or safer communities.
They’d rather police language than secure the border.
They’d rather call Trump names than offer solutions to real problems.
And now even their own people are admitting it.
Turrentine ended his Fox News appearance with a warning that should terrify every Democrat politician.
"You add it all up and we are not in good shape," he said.
That might be the understatement of the year.
The Democrat Party isn’t just "not in good shape" – they’re in complete freefall.
And their summer meeting proved they have no intention of changing course.
