Joy Behar Made One Sick Attack on Trump That Left ABC Suits Squirming

Joy Behar crossed a line that even her network bosses couldn’t ignore.

The View co-host launched into a vicious tirade that had ABC executives reaching for their phones.

And Joy Behar made one sick attack on Trump that left ABC suits squirming.

Joy Behar Turns Brutal Murder Into Anti-Trump Talking Point

Twenty-three-year-old Iryna Zarutska came to America seeking safety from war-torn Ukraine.

Instead, she was brutally stabbed to death on a Charlotte train by Decarlos Brown Jr., a man with schizophrenia who was roaming free on bail despite multiple arrests.

The entire attack was caught on video in one of the most disturbing crimes of the year.

But instead of focusing on the real failures that led to this tragedy, Joy Behar saw an opportunity to bash President Trump and Republicans.

"That is exactly why it is a political situation," Behar ranted on Wednesday’s show. "Because in the first 40 days of the Trump administration, this one, they terminated 128 grants from The National Institute of Mental Health."

She kept going with her prepared talking points.

"In May, they cut $1 billion in federal grants for mental health services. And then they talk about, oh, mentally ill people with the guns and mentally ill people are killing, blah, blah, blah, but then they cut the services!"

This defies all logic.

A dangerous criminal with a history of arrests was walking free on bail in North Carolina – a state with a Democrat governor – and somehow this is Trump’s fault because of budget cuts?

The Real Story Joy Behar Doesn’t Want You to Know

Look, here’s what actually happened that Joy Behar conveniently ignored.

Brown had a documented history of arrests in North Carolina.

At the time he murdered Zarutska, he was free on bail.

His own mother told local media he suffered from schizoprhenia.

So we have a known dangerous individual with mental illness and multiple arrests who was released back onto the streets by a local justice system.

But according to Behar’s twisted logic, the real problem is federal grant funding.

This is the same woman who spent years defending "bail reform" policies that put dangerous criminals back on the streets.

The same crowd that calls you racist for wanting repeat offenders locked up.

Now they want to blame Trump for not throwing enough federal money at a problem they created with their soft-on-crime policies.

The View’s Disgusting Pattern of Exploitation

You want to know what’s really sick about this?

Behar and her co-hosts have made a career out of exploiting tragedies for political points.

Every time there’s a horrific crime, they immediately start calculating how to blame Republicans.

Never mind the actual policies that failed.

Never mind the local officials who let dangerous criminals walk free.

Never mind the prosecutors who refuse to keep repeat offenders behind bars.

It’s always somehow Trump’s fault or Republicans’ fault or conservative policies’ fault.

But when pressed for specifics about how their preferred policies would have prevented this particular tragedy, they fall silent.

How would more federal mental health grants have stopped a local bail system from releasing a dangerous repeat offender?

How would increased funding have prevented local prosecutors from failing to keep this man locked up?

They can’t answer because the connection doesn’t exist.

What Really Could Have Saved Iryna Zarutska

Here’s what actually could have prevented this young woman’s brutal murder.

A justice system that keeps dangerous criminals locked up instead of releasing them on bail.

Prosecutors who prioritize public safety over progressive ideology.

Mental health policies that allow families to get dangerous individuals committed before they hurt someone.

Immigration policies that actually protect the people we bring to this country seeking refuge.

But none of those solutions require blaming Trump or attacking Republicans.

So they’re not interested.

Instead, they’d rather dance on this poor girl’s grave to score cheap political points.

The Democrat Policies That Actually Failed

Let’s talk about the real policies that failed Iryna Zarutska.

North Carolina has a Democrat governor in Josh Stein who just took office this year.

His predecessor, Democrat Roy Cooper, served as governor for eight years and is now running for U.S. Senate in 2026 to replace retiring Republican Senator Thom Tillis.

Charlotte’s been run by Democrats for years, and they love talking about "reimagining public safety."

But when a repeat offender with 14 prior cases murders an innocent woman, suddenly it’s Trump’s fault for not funding enough programs.

The same politicians who fail to crack down on repeat offenders with extensive criminal histories.

The same crowd that refuses to support law and order policies that actually protect innocent people.

Brown was walking free despite 14 prior cases and previous prison time because of these exact policy failures.

But Joy Behar wants to blame federal mental health funding instead of the local Democrat policies that put this killer back on the streets.

Exploiting Tragedy for Political Gain

What Behar did here is disgusting even by her standards.

A young woman who fled war came to America seeking safety and was brutally murdered by a repeat offender who should have been locked up.

Instead of examining the real policy failures that led to this tragedy, Behar immediately pivoted to her standard anti-Trump talking points.

She had her statistics ready to go.

She knew exactly which federal programs to blame.

This wasn’t a spontaneous reaction to a horrible crime – this was a calculated political hit job using a murder victim as a prop.

That tells you everything you need to know about Joy Behar’s character.

And it shows you exactly how the Left operates when tragedy strikes.

What This Really Shows About The View

Here’s what this episode really reveals about The View and its hosts.

They don’t actually care about solving the problems that lead to these tragedies.

You want to know what really happened here?

Behar saw a murdered Ukrainian refugee and immediately thought "Trump attack opportunity."

Not once did she mention the 14 prior criminal cases that should have kept Brown locked up.

Not once did she question why local authorities allowed a dangerous repeat offender to walk free.

Instead, she recited prepared statistics about federal mental health funding that had nothing to do with this specific failure.

That tells you everything about how The View operates when tragedy strikes.

For these hosts, every horrific crime becomes another chance to blame Republicans.

The actual victims and the real policy failures that could prevent future murders?

Those don’t register because they can’t be used against Trump.

That’s the disgusting reality of how Joy Behar’s mind works.

Iryna Zarutska deserved better than becoming a prop in Behar’s anti-Trump theater.
