Podesta takes the stand as "expert witness" in lawsuit using children as props
John Podesta spent two hours in federal court on Tuesday pretending to be an "expert witness" for 22 children suing the Trump administration.
The same John Podesta who steered hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to his green energy buddies while serving as Biden’s climate czar.
These kids claim Trump’s energy policies are literally killing them by promoting oil, gas, and coal over solar panels and windmills.
Their lawsuit targets every major piece of Trump’s energy agenda – from protecting coal jobs to eliminating electric vehicle mandates to rolling back the Green New Deal nonsense.
The Oregon-based left-wing outfit Our Children’s Trust filed this joke of a lawsuit in Montana federal court back in May.
"Trump’s fossil fuel orders are a death sentence for my generation," whined lead plaintiff Eva Lighthiser, a 19-year-old hiker who claims global warming gives her "stress and anxiety."
What she should be stressed about is getting used as a prop by professional activists with deep pockets.
But the real story isn’t these kids – it’s the man testifying on their behalf.
The billion-dollar conflict of interest nobody’s talking about
Look, here’s what’s really happening with Podesta’s testimony.
This isn’t some concerned citizen speaking up for the environment.
This is the same guy who controlled roughly $375 billion in green energy handouts under Biden.
Podesta personally oversaw $20 billion to eight climate nonprofits, $7 billion for solar panel projects, $3 billion for green energy equipment at ports, and hundreds of millions for electric school buses.
The Biden Department of Energy also issued $108 billion in loans for green energy projects while Podesta was running the show.
And now he’s testifying to block the policies that threaten his entire gravy train.
"During my years of service in the federal government, different administrations expressed different preferences in terms of energy mixes. But I am unaware of any administration ever declaring war on renewable energy the way the second Trump administration has done," Podesta wrote in his declaration.
Translation: Trump is threatening to shut down our cash cow and we can’t let that happen.
But wait, it gets worse.

You want to know why Podesta is so desperate to stop Trump’s energy policies?
Because he’s been getting paid by the same green energy interests he handed billions to as Biden’s climate czar.
Green energy companies have paid Podesta tens of thousands of dollars for consulting work in recent years, according to financial disclosures.
Podesta also founded and chairs the Center for American Progress, which gets funding from every major left-wing billionaire you’ve heard of.
George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, the Rockefeller Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – they all fund Podesta’s operation.
Swiss billionaire Hansjörg Wyss has given millions to the center and sits on its board of directors.
These are the same people backing the most powerful climate groups trying to shut down American oil and gas.
The League of Conservation Voters, Climate Power – Wyss bankrolls them all.
So when Podesta testifies that Trump’s policies are dangerous, he’s not speaking as a neutral expert.
He’s speaking as someone whose entire network of donors and clients depends on keeping the green energy scam going.
The kids are just the cover story.
The real agenda behind the lawsuit
Here’s the thing that should make you furious about this whole setup.
These professional activists found 22 children to claim they’re being harmed by Trump promoting American energy independence.
They’re arguing in federal court that producing more oil and gas violates these kids’ Fifth Amendment rights to life and liberty.
Think about that for a moment.
The same Constitution that protects free speech and religious liberty apparently now requires the government to ban fossil fuels to protect someone’s feelings about climate change.
This isn’t about the environment – it’s about power.
It’s about using the courts to implement the Green New Deal that voters rejected at the ballot box.
If this lawsuit succeeds, it could wipe out the executive orders that form the centerpiece of Trump’s energy agenda.
No more coal industry protections.
No more encouragement for oil drilling.
No more elimination of electric vehicle mandates.
No more reversing the crackdowns on gas-powered appliances.
Everything Trump ran on and won with – gone, because some activist lawyers convinced a judge that children have a constitutional right to renewable energy.
The timing isn’t coincidental either.
Trump just started undoing four years of Biden’s war on American energy, and suddenly these kids show up in court with Podesta as their star witness.
Why this lawsuit threatens every American who works for a living
Look at what they’re really trying to accomplish here.
If producing American oil and gas violates children’s constitutional rights, then every job in those industries becomes illegal.
Every power plant that runs on coal – shut down for the children.
Every oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico – illegal child endangerment.
Every natural gas pipeline – a violation of kids’ civil rights.
This is how they plan to implement the Green New Deal without having to convince voters or pass it through Congress.
Use the courts to declare American energy production unconstitutional, then force everyone onto their expensive, unreliable alternatives.
The same alternatives that made Podesta and his network rich while regular Americans saw their energy bills skyrocket.
And when American families can’t afford to heat their homes or fill up their cars, they’ll be told it’s for the children.
The children who were coached by professional activists funded by billionaires who profit from green energy mandates.
Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen is fighting this lawsuit, but he shouldn’t have to fight it alone.
Every state that produces energy, every worker whose job depends on affordable fuel, every family trying to make ends meet should be paying attention to this case.
Because if Podesta and his kid army win, your job could be next on their list of constitutional violations.
