Democrats like to present themselves as the party of tolerance and caring.
But the reality is quite different.
And John Fetterman revealed one awful fact about Democrats they'll never speak in public.
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) showed the true face of the Democrat Party is ugliness and hate.
Fetterman is a reliable leftist vote who ran as a socialist acolyte of Bernie Sanders.
He declared defending transgender surgeries for kids is his political red line.
And Fetterman backs nuking the filibuster so Democrats can ram through court packing, amnesty for illegal aliens, and making Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico states.
But that wasn't good enough for the Left.
That's because Fetterman voted to end the Democrat shutdown.
Fetterman exposed the myth about Trump and political hate
There's been a myth in the liberal media for the last decade about how Donald Trump is responsible for coarsening and polarizing of American politics.
Fetterman obliterated that hoax in an interview with leftwing journalist Katie Couric.
In the interview, Fetterman told Couric the nastiest hate he receives online comes from Bluesky.
Bluesky is a Twitter copycat social media platform that liberals created as their safe space after Elon Musk bought X and ended the censorship regime.
Fetterman recounted how his staff told him the leftists on Bluesky pummel him on a daily basis with personal insults.¹
"It's been my experience. The right, you would say, you know, really, you know, mean things and call me names and that thing," Fetterman stated.²
But what liberals wish on him goes way beyond name-calling.
"But what's really emerged often, sometimes on the other side, it's like, hey, I know I'm rooting for your next stroke or it sucks that depression didn't win. Or I hope your kids, you know, you know, can just witness, you know, you die and all these kinds of things. Is there a difference between just saying mean things versus wishing my death and saying those things?" Fetterman added.³
Fetterman said liberals root for him to die of a stroke, commit suicide, or for terrible misfortune to befall his children.
He told CNN's Dana Bash that while conservatives call him names, the left wants him dead.
"The difference is the right would say really rough things and some names I won't repeat on TV," Fetterman explained. "But on the Left, it was like they want me to die or that 'we're cheering for your next stroke.'"⁴
Leftists want Fetterman's children to find him dead
Fetterman suffered a major stroke in May 2022 and was hospitalized for more than a week.
The Pennsylvania Senator said leftists share messages hoping his children find him dead.
"That's much different from just calling me a name," Fetterman stated. "That's really been consistent in that community online."⁵
Fetterman said he finds social media toxic, but that the hate he gets from the left about wanting his children to find him dead is "next level" ugliness.
"It's like people forget that there's a name attached to these things. So for me, it's really an indictment on social media. But what I'm saying, it's been in my experience that it's both difficult," Fetterman continued. "But some of the most personal things are when someone's praying for my death and they want my children to find me there. It's like I think that's a little next level versus, hey, I happen to disagree with you."⁶
Fetterman described how liberals even circulated a GIF showing a stroke inside his head and cheering for it.
"They even have like a graphic — they have like a stroke in your head," Fetterman recalled. "And they were cheering at that. And they said, 'Oh, the doctor let us down. Why did they have to save his life?'"⁷
Bluesky leftists proved Fetterman right when he fell
When Fetterman fell outside his home last Thursday and was hospitalized with a ventricular fibrillation flare-up that caused minor facial injuries, leftists on Bluesky immediately proved his point.
Conservative commentator Steve Guest compiled screenshots of Bluesky posts celebrating Fetterman's fall.
"Blue Sky is an absolute cesspool right now in the wake of the news about John Fetterman's fall," Guest posted.⁸
Comments ranged from mocking him to wishing he hadn't gotten back up.
Meanwhile, conservatives across social media offered prayers and support for the Pennsylvania Democrat.
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) posted "Praying for John and his wonderful family."⁹
Even Dana Bash couldn't hide her shock when Fetterman described the death wishes from his own side during their CNN interview.
Fetterman wrote in his new memoir "Unfettered" that "I've drunk deeply of the venom of both the left and the right. And as a connoisseur, I can confirm that the most poisonous, the bitterest, is from the far left."¹⁰
For decades Democrats and their media allies claimed Donald Trump and conservatives poisoned political discourse.
John Fetterman just exposed that lie.
The ugliest, most vicious hatred doesn't come from the right.
It comes from liberals who can't stand anyone who steps off the reservation — even for a moment.
