America lost one of its brightest conservative voices this week.
The attack sent shockwaves through the entire political world.
And Jesse Watters unleashed raw fury after Charlie Kirk’s assassination that left all of America speechless.
The nation mourns a conservative champion
Charlie Kirk built something special with Turning Point USA.
At just 31 years old, he’d already inspired millions of young Americans to embrace conservative values and put America first.
Kirk wasn’t your typical political firebrand – he was the kind of guy you’d want your daughter to bring home.
He asked tough questions with a smile, challenged liberal orthodoxy with facts, and made politics accessible to an entire generation.
That all ended Wednesday when a gunman opened fire at Utah Valley University during one of Kirk’s campus events.
The husband and father of two was gunned down while doing what he loved most – engaging with young Americans about the future of their country.
Fox News host Jesse Watters delivered one of the most passionate tributes to Kirk during Thursday’s episode of The Five.
"We’re sick, we’re sad, we’re angry, and we’re resolute, and we’re going to avenge Charlie’s death in the way Charlie would want it to be avenged," Watters began. "He was such a beautiful boy, he was an American boy, and he was incredibly positive, he was full of energy, and life, and he made politics fun."
Watters remembered Kirk as someone who electrified audiences without being controversial or divisive.
"This is not a controversial person. This is not polarizing guy, a divisive person, a firebrand that he’s being described as in the media," Watters explained. "This is like a guy that you have a barbecue with at your summer house. This is the kind of guy if you came back with your daughter, you’d say, ‘Thank God, we got a good one.’"
Jesse Watters exposes the Left’s war on conservatives
But then Watters shifted gears and delivered a blistering assessment of the political violence targeting conservatives.
His voice grew more intense as he connected the dots between multiple attacks.
"Charlie gets shot dead. They came after Kavanaugh with a rifle to his neighborhood. They went after Musk’s cars. They just shot two Jews outside the embassy. Think about it. Scalise got shot, barely survived. It’s happening. We got trans shooters. We got riots in LA," Watters stated.
That’s when Watters dropped the hammer with the kind of truth most politicians are too scared to say out loud.
"They are at war with us! Whether we want to accept it or not, they are at war with us!" Watters declared.
The Fox News host demanded accountability for everyone who’s been fanning the flames of political hatred.
"Charlie would want us to put as much pressure on these people as possible," Watters said. "This is unacceptable and has to stop, and it has to stop now. And everybody’s accountable. And we’re watching what they’re saying on television and who’s saying what – the politicians, and the media, and all these rats out there."
President Donald Trump mourned Kirk’s passing on Truth Social, calling him "Great, and even Legendary."
"No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie," Trump wrote. "He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us."
The stakes couldn’t be higher
Look, here’s what Jesse Watters got absolutely right – this isn’t random violence anymore.
There’s a clear pattern of attacks targeting conservatives, and it’s escalating.
You’ve got Steve Scalise nearly dying on a baseball field because some lunatic couldn’t handle Republicans existing.
Brett Kavanaugh had an armed Biden supporter show up at his house ready to kill him.
Now Charlie Kirk – a guy who never threw a punch, never called for violence, never did anything but ask questions and encourage young people to love America – gets gunned down for his beliefs.
The media and Democrat politicians have spent years painting conservatives as existential threats to democracy.
They’ve called Trump supporters "semi-fascists" and "threats to the republic."
They’ve spent four years claiming Republicans are literally destroying the country.
What did they think was going to happen?
When you tell people that half the country consists of dangerous extremists who need to be stopped, some unhinged person is going to take that message seriously.
Jesse Watters had the guts to call this what it is – a war.
The Left has declared war on conservative America, and they’re using violence as their weapon of choice.
For folks who work for a living, raise their families, and just want to be left alone, this should terrify you.
If they’ll kill Charlie Kirk – a clean-cut family man who never hurt anybody – no one is safe.
This is the same playbook they used in the 1960s when leftist radicals bombed government buildings and killed police officers.
If they get away with this, it’s only going to get worse.
Jesse Watters ended with the truth that nobody in Washington, D.C. wants to admit.
"This is a turning point, and we know which direction we’re going," he said.
The question is whether conservative America is finally ready to acknowledge they’re under attack – and fight back accordingly.
