Democrat-run cities have turned into playgrounds for violent criminals.

The nation’s capital has become one of the most dangerous places in America.

And Jeanine Pirro gave Trump one piece of advice about DC crime that put officials in an impossible position.

The top federal prosecutor in DC just threw her weight behind Trump’s takeover threat

US Attorney Jeanine Pirro delivered a devastating blow to Washington, D.C.’s soft-on-crime policies during a Wednesday night appearance on Fox News.

The former judge and prosecutor didn’t mince words about the crisis plaguing the nation’s capital – and she made it clear that President Trump’s threat to federalize the district has her full support.

"I support him totally," Pirro told Laura Ingraham about Trump’s warning that he would bring Washington, D.C. under federal control if local officials don’t crack down on youth crime.¹

Pirro’s backing carries serious weight – she’s not just another Trump supporter, she’s the top federal prosecutor in the district who deals with this mess every single day.

Her message was crystal clear: the current system is broken beyond repair.

Pirro reveals the truth about DC’s failed juvenile justice system

The US Attorney pulled back the curtain on just how bad things have gotten in the nation’s capital.

While Pirro can prosecute 16- and 17-year-olds as adults for serious violent crimes, she explained how the system still coddles younger offenders who commit brutal attacks.

"I said, if you’re 14, 15, 16, or 17-years-old, you get coddled, as you do in most American Democrat cities, so I can’t charge these people," she revealed during the interview.²

Think about that for a moment – even the top federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C. is being hamstrung by Democrat policies that protect teenage criminals.

Pirro described the brutal attack on former DOGE employee Edward Coristine, who was "beaten to a pulp" by about 10 juveniles during an attempted carjacking just a mile from the White House.³

The 19-year-old tech worker, nicknamed "Big Balls" for his fearless approach to exposing government waste, was left bloodied and battered by what Pirro called "a gang of punks."

Two of the alleged attackers – a 15-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl from Maryland – have been arrested.

But here’s the kicker: because they’re 15, these cases don’t go to Pirro’s office at all.

"None of them come to my office because they’re not considered criminals," Pirro explained. "They go to family court, where the effort is rehabilitation."⁴

Trump’s federalization threat gets backing from the prosecutor who knows best

Pirro’s support for Trump’s drastic action isn’t coming from some armchair politician – it’s coming from someone who sees the carnage firsthand.

She told Ingraham that she spoke directly with Trump on Tuesday when he issued his takeover threat, explaining the impossible situation she faces every day.

"He’s the only one coming here saying, ‘I want to make [DC] safe and beautiful,’" Pirro noted. "I haven’t heard anyone say that besides him."⁵

The prosecutor made it clear that half-measures won’t work anymore.

She’s demanding that DC officials "stop their coddling" and lower the age of criminal responsibility to 14 years old.

"If you think that these kids need to be coddled and they need to be hugged – they need to have consequences," Pirro declared.⁶

Her frustration was palpable as she described the current system’s failures.

"If you tell me I can’t prosecute a 17-year-old for carjacking, then you don’t know what you’re talking about," she continued, "because the truth is that if you don’t give me that power, and you want to send them to some arts and craft program, then you’re out of your mind."⁷

This puts DC officials in an impossible political position

Pirro’s public backing of Trump’s federalization threat creates serious political pressure for Washington, D.C. officials.

When the top federal prosecutor in your jurisdiction is publicly saying the system is broken and needs federal intervention, that’s not something you can easily dismiss.

DC Council members and Mayor Muriel Bowser now have to explain why they’re allowing violent criminals to roam free while their own US Attorney is begging for more tools to prosecute them.

The timing couldn’t be worse for local Democrats.

Trump’s threat to federalize the district came right after a brutal attack on a White House employee, and now the federal prosecutor is confirming that younger offenders get sent to "arts and crafts" programs instead of real consequences.

This isn’t about politics anymore – it’s about basic public safety.

Under current DC law, Pirro can prosecute 16- and 17-year-olds as adults for serious crimes like murder, rape, armed robbery, and first-degree burglary.

But the 15-year-olds who attacked Coristine automatically go through the family court system run by the DC Attorney General’s office, where the focus is on "rehabilitation" rather than punishment.

Pirro’s support gives Trump’s threat the kind of professional credibility that makes it impossible for Democrats to dismiss as political theater.

The prosecutor who knows the system best is saying it needs to be completely overhauled.

That’s not a message DC officials can spin their way out of.

The ball is now in their court, and they’re running out of excuses for protecting violent teenage criminals while law-abiding citizens get "beaten to a pulp" on the streets of America’s capital.
