The Charlie Kirk assassination on September 10 shook the nation to its core.
One of Trump's closest allies was gunned down by a left-wing extremist while speaking at a college campus.
But one Democrat Congresswoman just blamed Trump for political violence in a way that exposed the Left's most brazen lie.
Crockett's jaw-dropping claim on CNN
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) went on CNN and said Trump caused a "consistent spike in the violence when it comes to politics."
You read that right.
The same political movement that just assassinated Charlie Kirk is now pointing fingers at Trump.
"I believe that we all need to pay attention to Trump and how he acts," Crockett told CNN's Jake Tapper. "He is the cause of all the confusion and the destruction that we have seen in politics."
She kept going with the revisionist history.
"It used to be we could disagree, and that was that. I disagree with a lot of Republicans, but it does not necessarily turn violent," Crockett claimed. "Ever since he's been introduced into politics, we have seen a consistent spike in the violence when it comes to politics."
The gaslighting is breathtaking.
The data destroys her entire narrative
Here's the inconvenient truth Crockett won't tell you, left-wing violence is more prominent than anything coming from the right.¹
The Center for Strategic and International Studies documented at least five left-wing plots or attacks in just the first half of 2025, compared to only one right-wing attack during that same period.²
Left-wing violence has exploded since Trump's rise to prominence in 2016.³
Researchers counted 41 left-wing terrorist incidents since 2016, with the pace accelerating dramatically this year.
Charlie Kirk's assassination. UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's murder in the streets of New York. Two separate attempts on Trump's life. Violent assaults on ICE facilities in Texas that left federal agents dead.⁴
Every single one carried out by leftist extremists.
But sure, Jasmine, tell us more about how Trump is the problem.
Crockett spent years throwing matches on the kindling
Want to know who's really been stoking violence? Look no further than Crockett's own track record.
She called Trump a "wannabe Hitler" and doubled down on that language even after Kirk's murder.⁵
"Me calling you, you know, 'wannabe Hitler,' all those things are like, not necessarily saying, 'Go out and hurt somebody,'" Crockett said during a radio interview just days after Kirk's assassination.⁶
Not necessarily? That's doing some heavy lifting there.
She compared ICE agents to the Ku Klux Klan and slave patrols during a congressional hearing.⁷
"When I see ICE, I see slave patrols," Crockett stated in an MSNBC interview — this was days before an armed left-wing extremist attacked an ICE facility in Texas.
She publicly called for protesters to "take down" Elon Musk, saying "all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down."⁸
Attorney General Pam Bondi had to warn Crockett to "tread very carefully" after the Justice Department filed domestic terrorism charges against Tesla attackers who took her words to heart.
And now she's got the nerve to blame Trump for violence.
Democrats spent years calling for Trump to be stopped "by any means necessary"
Let's connect the dots Democrats don't want you to see.
They called Trump Hitler for eight years straight. They said he was a fascist threat to democracy. They claimed he needed to be stopped before he destroyed America. Democrats kept saying Trump had to be stopped "by any means necessary."
Then a gunman tried to kill Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Another tried at his golf course in Florida. A third succeeded in murdering Charlie Kirk.
Democrats act shocked that left-wing extremists believed the hysteria they'd been spreading.
Vice President JD Vance saw right through their game.
"If you look at the political violence in our country over the last couple of months, the last couple of years, it is not a both sides' problem," Vance told reporters. "It is primarily on one side of the political aisle."⁹
He's absolutely right and the data proves it.
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson called out Crockett's despicable blame-shifting after Kirk's assassination.
"Jasmine Crockett is the queen of divisive rhetoric and it's despicable that she would try and point fingers at President Trump for the assassination of his dear friend, Charlie Kirk," Jackson stated.¹⁰
The numbers don't lie even when Democrats do.
Left-wing terrorism has exploded under the very policies and rhetoric that Crockett champions. The research is crystal clear. The pattern is undeniable. The hypocrisy is complete.
But she'll never admit the truth because doing so would mean taking responsibility for the monster her side created.
So instead, she goes on CNN and blames Trump for the violence Democrats spent years inciting.
That's not just dishonest — it's obscene.
