James Comer just delivered some bad news that has Trump supporters seeing red.

The Kentucky Congressman made a shocking claim about missing documents.

And James Comer dropped a bombshell about the Epstein files that has conservatives fuming.

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) sparked outrage among many Trump supporters after suggesting that critical Jeffrey Epstein documents might have been destroyed before the Trump administration took office.

During an appearance on The Benny Show, Comer was asked about the status of the full “Epstein Files” release – the government documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that many conservatives have been demanding.

What Comer said next left many MAGA supporters stunned.

“I don’t think the Department of Justice has them. Or at least the Attorney General does not have them, or she would have turned them over,” Comer stated. “The President ordered them released, the Attorney General ordered them released, we all know they have not been released.”

The House Oversight Committee Chairman then revealed his longstanding concerns about document destruction.

“One of my biggest fears that I had and I expressed this with Kash Patel and a lot of people, Stephen Miller, and a lot of people going into the new administration, and I’m like, I hope they’re not shredding documents right now. This was a few weeks before the transition,” Comer explained.

He emphasized this point, repeating, “I hope they’re not shredding documents.”

Comer placed the blame squarely on what he called the “deep state” within the White House, suggesting they might have been “shredding documents” before the Trump administration could access them.

He expressed a vague hope: “Hopefully someone has a copy of that.”

The comments created immediate backlash from many conservatives who have been waiting months for the promised Epstein file release.

Some pointed to apparent contradictions with previous statements from Attorney General Pam Bondi.

One conservative from Oregon responded: “Didn’t Pam say Kash sent her thousands of documents in a big truck? Soooo she either is a liar and lies to us, or she got rid of the evidence?”

The confusion stems from a sequence of events beginning in February when the Justice Department released what they called “phase one” of Epstein-related documents, including contact lists and flight logs.

At that time, Attorney General Bondi sent a letter to Kash Patel demanding additional documents she was informed were being kept in the FBI’s New York office. By March, Bondi stated that Patel was working on providing the DOJ with a timeline for the next document release.

MAGA influencer Laura Loomer didn’t hold back in her criticism on X, writing that Comer “basically said she [Bondi] lied about having the files because she said they were on her desk. Comer said he thinks the FBI and DOJ literally SHRED THE DOCUMENTS. Why did @AGPamBondi lie and say ‘the Epstein files are on my desk right now’? This is very damning and a black eye for the Trump DOJ under Pam Blondi.”

Political analyst Dominic Tripi called for immediate accountability: “Pam Bondi needs to be fired for this immediately. If President Trump doesn’t hold someone accountable or assign blame, people will soon blame him directly.”

The frustration continued to build as another commenter wrote: “Trump and Bondi need to be held responsible for this, period. They made a promise and didn’t keep it. They could have done more and didn’t.”

This controversy comes at a time when many conservatives have been eagerly awaiting the release of the complete Epstein files, which some believe could implicate powerful figures in Epstein’s criminal activities.

Comer’s suggestion that the documents may have been destroyed has only intensified speculation and anger among those who expected the Trump administration to deliver on promises of transparency regarding the Epstein case.
