Ilhan Omar Was Running Scared After This Election Scam Was Exposed

Minnesota's become a national joke under Tim Walz's leadership.

First the billion-dollar welfare fraud, now this.

And Ilhan Omar was running scared after this election scam was exposed.

Fraud Network Stretches Across 13 Counties

Tim Walz's Minnesota just can't stop stepping in it.

While the incompetent Governor was busy retaliating against whistleblowers who tried exposing the billion-dollar welfare heist on his watch, another massive fraud operation was spreading like wildfire through his state.¹

Court documents reveal two individuals tied to Somali organizations pled guilty last month to submitting 600 fraudulent voter registration applications across 13 Minnesota counties.²

Fake names, fake addresses flooding election offices throughout the state.

Hundreds landed right in Ilhan Omar's 5th Congressional District – Minneapolis and the state's biggest Somali-American population.³

The case follows an unmistakable pattern: organized networks exploiting weak oversight to drain taxpayers and corrupt elections while Democrats look the other way.

James O'Keefe exposed the cash-for-ballots scheme back in 2020, when a ballot harvester connected to Omar was filmed bragging about having two hundred ballots in his car.⁴

Some voters got paid as much as $800. Insiders in the Somali community confirmed the operation was an open secret in Minneapolis.

Democrats dismissed it as right-wing conspiracy theories. Turns out they were lying through their teeth.

Walz Protected Criminals, Punished Whistleblowers

Minnesota Department of Human Services employees tried sounding the alarm early. More than 480 went public accusing Walz of being "100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota."⁵

"We let Tim Walz know of fraud early on, hoping for a partnership in stopping fraud but no, we got the opposite response," the whistleblowers wrote.⁵ "Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers using monitoring, threats, repression."

Instead of cracking down, Walz's administration went after the people exposing it. State officials were "reluctant" to take action because they feared "political backlash among the Somali community."⁶

That cowardice cost Minnesota over a billion dollars in the Feeding Our Future scheme alone. The Justice Department charged 78 defendants – at least 50 convictions confirmed.⁷ They called it the largest COVID-era fraud scheme in the country.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer isn't pulling any punches.

"Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was warned about massive fraud in a pandemic food-aid program for children, yet he failed to act," Comer told the New York Post.⁸ "Instead, whistleblowers who raised concerns faced retaliation. Because of Governor Walz's negligence, criminals — including Somali terrorists — stole nearly $1 billion from the program while children suffered."

President Trump terminated Temporary Protected Status for Somalis in Minnesota last month, calling the state "a hub of fraudulent money laundering activity" where "BILLIONS of Dollars are missing."⁹

Omar's "Guardrails" Excuse Falls Flat

When CNN's Jake Tapper pressed Omar about how fraud got "so out of control" in Minnesota, she delivered one of the most revealing non-answers in recent political memory.¹⁰

"I think what happened, um, is that, you know, when you have these, kind of, new programs that are, um, designed to, uh, help people you are often times relying on third parties to be able to facilitate, and I just think that a lot of the COVID programs…were set up so quickly that a lot of the guardrails did not get created," Omar stammered.¹⁰

Wait – she's blaming the state for not stopping criminals from stealing? That's her defense?

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced his department is investigating whether Minnesota taxpayer dollars ended up funding Al-Shabaab, the Somali terrorist organization.¹¹

Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler confirmed her agency is examining whether individuals and nonprofits charged in the billion-dollar fraud scheme also fraudulently obtained PPP loans.¹²

Some fraudsters were literally caught on video inside Omar's office. Safari Restaurant owner Salim Said, now in federal custody, appeared in footage with Omar at his establishment – which prosecutors say was a major crime scene.¹³ Said's restaurant supposedly served 18,000 meals per day despite seating only 35 people.

Guhaad Hashi, a convicted Feeding Our Future defendant, worked as Omar's enforcer during her 2018 and 2020 campaigns, "overseeing voter mobilization in the Somali community."¹³

These networks didn't appear overnight. They've operated in plain sight for years while Democrats protected them for votes.

Minnesota dodged a bullet when voters rejected Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. The entire country would've looked like Minnesota – overrun with fraud, whistleblowers silenced, taxpayers drained dry.

The voter fraud case sprawling across 13 counties proves the corruption goes beyond welfare schemes.

When organized networks submit 600 fake voter applications and officials only care about avoiding "political backlash," the system's been hijacked.

Trump and Congress are forcing accountability.

Walz and Omar had their chance to clean house. They chose to protect criminals and punish whistleblowers instead.
