Her colleague Rep. Delia Ramirez of Illinois is already calling DHS "rotten from the inside out" and demanding full dismantlement.
Tim Walz – who lost to Trump and JD Vance in November – threatened to deploy the Minnesota National Guard against federal immigration agents, urging Americans in Portland, Los Angeles, and Chicago to "stand with us."
Omar herself described ICE as an "occupying force" in Minneapolis earlier this month and demanded criminal prosecution of Stephen Miller, the architect of Trump's immigration agenda.
This is a coordinated Democrat strategy: nullify enforcement at the state level while building the congressional coalition to eliminate it at the federal level entirely.
Open borders isn't a slur Republicans invented. It's the stated destination.
What Open Borders Looks Like After Democrats Gut Border Security
America already lived through four years of what Democrats are selling.
Biden opened the border, eight million illegal aliens crossed, fentanyl flooded American communities, and violent criminals walked free because nobody in his administration had the stomach to remove them.
Trump fixed it the moment he took office. Deportation flights were running on day one, ICE was back in sanctuary cities, and CBP finally had a president who wanted the border closed instead of managed.
