Ilhan Omar thought nobody would notice where her campaign dollars went.

She was dead wrong about that.

And Ilhan Omar got caught making one payment that will have the FBI taking a closer look.

Omar campaign sent funds to anti-Israel nonprofit steps from Capitol

Squad member Ilhan Omar's campaign sent $1,559.25 to a Washington, D.C. nonprofit that openly promotes "dismantling apartheid in Palestine" and establishing a state "from the river to the sea."¹

Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by Fox News Digital show Omar's campaign, Ilhan for Congress, paid the Palestine House of Freedom for "event tickets" in September.²

The group operates just blocks from the Capitol building and describes itself as "dedicated to the liberation of Palestine."³

Their website makes clear they're running an "aggressive educational campaign targeting everyone from lawmakers, staffers, the media, to the general public."⁴

Palestine House of Freedom director Miko Peled told a interviewer in February 2025 the organization's objective is "to bring about a shift in the United States, particularly in decision-making spaces like Washington, DC, from full support for Zionism to full rejection of Zionism."⁵

That's not subtle. That's a radical anti-Israel group with prime real estate on Pennsylvania Avenue running an influence campaign on Congress.

And Omar just handed them campaign cash.

Wait, it gets worse

Here's where Omar's judgment becomes indefensible.

Palestine House of Freedom hosted a fundraiser in June for Birzeit University, a Palestinian university in the West Bank with alleged terrorist ties.⁶

All proceeds from the event, titled "From Birzeit and Beyond: How academia shapes resistance and resilience," went directly to Birzeit.⁷

For decades, the Hamas-affiliated Al-Wafaa bloc has controlled the university's student council, winning elections year after year going back to the 1990s.⁸

Hamas doesn't just tolerate this. They celebrate it.

In 2023, Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh personally praised Al-Wafaa's student council victory at Birzeit, saying it represents an "extension" of the Hamas movement.⁹

"The bloc has proven its ability to adapt to changes, overcome complexities, and fill the void created by arrests, martyrdom, or deportation," Haniyeh told Middle East Monitor after the 2023 win.¹⁰

Student campus parades at Birzeit have reportedly included people marching with mock suicide bomb vests and rockets, according to Memri TV reports.¹¹

Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik and Education Committee Chairman Tim Walberg sent Harvard University a letter in September calling Birzeit "an institution whose student body overwhelmingly supports Hamas" and a school that "explicitly endorses a U.S. designated terrorist organization."¹²

Harvard announced it would not renew its cooperation agreement with Birzeit following an internal review.¹³

Omar's pattern: Where there's smoke, there's always fire

This isn't Omar's first rodeo with questionable campaign cash.

The National Legal and Policy Center filed an FEC complaint alleging Omar "knowingly and willfully violated" campaign finance laws by "converting campaign funds to personal use" when funneling money to her now-husband Tim Mynett's consulting firm.¹⁴

The FEC dismissed the complaint in December 2021 but told Omar to provide more transparency.¹⁵

Between 2019 and 2020, Omar's campaign paid nearly $3 million to Mynett's E Street Group consulting firm.¹⁶

Campaign finance records show every expenditure related to her husband's company between January 1, 2019 and September 30, 2019 was later added or amended by Omar's campaign after the fact.¹⁷

Omar's 2024 financial disclosure shows her net worth potentially jumped to between $6 million and $30 million, a stunning increase attributed largely to Mynett's venture capital firm Rose Lake Capital, which was valued at under $1,000 in 2023 but jumped to $5-25 million in 2024.¹⁸

Think about that. A venture capital firm supposedly managing $60 billion reported zero income. That's not how money works.

And Omar expects Americans to believe there's nothing fishy going on.

In 2019, Omar agreed to reimburse her campaign $3,469 and pay a $500 fine for using campaign funds for personal travel and tax return help.²⁰

Omar keeps pushing boundaries and getting away with it

Look, nobody should be surprised by any of this.

Omar became one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress in 2018.

She immediately drew criticism for saying "some people did something" in reference to the 9/11 attacks and claiming "Israel has hypnotized the world."²¹

In September, a vote to censure Omar over comments she made about the Charlie Kirk assassination narrowly failed to pass the House of Representatives.²²

Omar won re-election in 2024 with 76.4% of the vote despite facing organized opposition from pro-Israel groups and AIPAC during both her primary and general elections.²³

She raised $1.6 million for her 2024 primary race, triple what her opponent Don Samuels raised.²⁴

Now she's funneling campaign dollars to groups tied to Hamas-linked universities while her personal wealth mysteriously exploded.

Voters in Minnesota apparently don't care. Or maybe they just aren't paying attention.

But the FBI should be. Campaign finance violations are federal crimes. Funneling money to organizations connected with designated terrorist groups raises even bigger red flags.

Omar's been playing fast and loose with campaign cash for years. This payment to Palestine House of Freedom might be the one that finally gets serious scrutiny.

Because unlike her previous scandals, this one involves potential ties to terrorism. That's a whole different ball game.
