Democrats’ anti-ICE rhetoric is putting federal agents at risk
Years of Democrats demonizing immigration enforcement have created a dangerous environment where criminals feel emboldened to attack federal agents.
Federal agents came under attack from a Honduran illegal alien who brandished a weapon during the enforcement operation, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The assault occurred during a raid that resulted in the detention of over 70 illegal aliens at Glenn Valley Foods in Nebraska, with many detainees having criminal histories that included outstanding warrants, drunk driving convictions, and prior deportations.
"Yesterday, an illegal alien from Honduras brandished a weapon and assaulted federal agents and officers who were doing their job: protecting American citizens, the public and businesses who are being victimized through identity fraud," acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said.
This wasn’t some paperwork violation or innocent person caught up in the system.
This was a violent criminal who attacked law enforcement officers while they were serving the public.
"Let’s be clear — this wasn’t just someone ‘out of status.’ This was a violent criminal who attacked law enforcement while they were serving the public, which is why the term ‘criminal alien’ is a distraction," Lyons explained.
ICE Homeland Security Investigations Kansas City Special Agent in Charge Mark Zito directly called out the dangerous rhetoric that’s putting communities and officers at risk.
"Our ICE agents and officers — along with our federal partners — put their lives on the line every day to protect the American public," Zito said. "The reckless rhetoric being thrown around doesn’t just insult their sacrifice, it actively puts communities at risk, undermines law enforcement, and emboldens those who are actively looking to do harm."
The Biden immigration system is completely broken
The raid exposed just how badly Joe Biden’s immigration policies failed the American people.
The detained individuals now potentially face a range of federal charges including document fraud, assaulting federal officers, resisting arrest, illegal re-entry, and Social Security number misuse.
But the real problem isn’t just the broken policies – it’s the toxic environment Democrats have created around immigration enforcement.
When politicians spend years calling ICE agents "Nazis" and comparing detention facilities to "concentration camps," they create an atmosphere where violence against federal agents becomes acceptable.
Protesters turn violent while Democrats cheer them on
The violence wasn’t limited to what happened inside the plant.
Outside the facility, left-wing activists jumped onto ICE vehicle bumpers and hurled rocks at government vehicles as a transport bus departed with detained workers.
These weren’t people peacefully exercising their First Amendment rights.
They were actively interfering with law enforcement and endangering officers who were trying to remove criminal illegal aliens from American communities.

This is exactly what happens when politicians and activists spend years demonizing immigration enforcement.
They create an environment where criminals feel emboldened to attack federal agents and protesters think it’s acceptable to throw rocks at law enforcement.

The enforcement operation involved multiple federal and state agencies working together, including ICE Homeland Security Investigations, FBI, ATF, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, IRS Criminal Investigation, Nebraska State Patrol, and other law enforcement entities.
This is what real immigration enforcement looks like when you have a President who actually wants to secure the border.
Trump promised to remove criminal illegal aliens from American communities, and that’s exactly what’s happening.
The fact that ICE officers are facing violent resistance only proves how necessary this enforcement is.
These aren’t innocent people being swept up in raids.
These are individuals with criminal backgrounds who have no business being in the United States in the first place.
But Democrats would rather see federal agents attacked than admit their "abolish ICE" rhetoric was dangerous and wrong.
For years, they’ve painted immigration enforcement as inherently evil while turning a blind eye to the criminals being protected by their policies.
Acting Director Lyons made it crystal clear: "If you’re here illegally, you’ve already broken the law. When you break the law by coming here illegally and then threaten and assault federal officers on top of that — you’re a threat, plain and simple."
The American people deserve to have their immigration laws enforced, and they deserve to have ICE officers who can do their jobs without being attacked by violent criminals or harassed by radical protesters.
Democrats’ dangerous rhetoric has blood on its hands, and it’s time they take responsibility for the violence they’ve incited against federal law enforcement.
