The Clintons have been doing damage control since the Epstein files were released.
Even more damning information came out in the latest batch.
And Hillary Clinton's stomach dropped after this connection to Ghislaine Maxwell was confirmed.
Sex Trafficker Built Clinton Global Initiative From Scratch
Justice Department files revealed Ghislaine Maxwell – now serving 20 years in prison for sex trafficking minors – didn't just advise the Clinton Global Initiative.
She helped build it.
Maxwell participated in budget discussions for the 2005 inaugural conference, coordinated with Clinton aides and event producer Publicis, and personally arranged a $1 million wire transfer to fund what emails called "the Clinton project."
Nobody knows where that million came from.
But Jeffrey Epstein knew about it.
"Ask him to tell you why i million now and where will it be going," Epstein wrote to Maxwell days after she got the wiring instructions.
Richard Attias, the Publicis executive who produced the event, confirmed this week that Maxwell ran the show.
"She was in Davos with President Clinton, and this is when they realized the amazing impact of Davos and they came up with the idea of creating something similar," Attias told reporters.
From her prison cell in 2023, Maxwell told Justice Department investigators she had a "very central" role in launching CGI.
Then she admitted Epstein was involved: he "supported me to help them, but then I think he may have tried to use that to insert himself in some way."
He inserted himself all right.
When Epstein's lawyers were begging prosecutors for leniency on sex trafficking charges in 2007, they claimed he "was part of the original group that conceived the Clinton Global Initiative."
A sex trafficker and a pedophile financier conceived and funded the Clintons' signature charity project.
Democrats Protected the Pay-to-Play Scheme for Years
Maxwell's CGI involvement happened in 2004 – two years before Epstein's indictment.
The pattern is what Americans saw during Hillary's 2016 campaign.
Foreign governments wrote checks, wealthy donors gained access, and those same donors got meetings with State Department officials and favorable policy decisions.
When the King of Morocco wanted to host a Clinton Global Initiative summit in 2015, he had one condition: Hillary had to attend personally.
His $12 million donation depended on it.
"Her presence was a condition for the Moroccans to proceed so there is no going back on this," top Clinton aide Huma Abedin wrote in emails released by WikiLeaks.
Call it what it is: selling access to the Secretary of State.
When Hillary lost the 2016 election, Clinton Foundation donations collapsed 58 percent in a single year – from $62.9 million down to $26.6 million.
If the Foundation was really about saving lives and fighting AIDS in Africa, why did the money vanish the moment the Clintons lost political power?
Donors weren't paying for charity.
They were paying for access to the next president.
When that investment went bad, they took their money elsewhere.
Hillary Knew Exactly Who Was Bankrolling Their Empire
The newly released emails destroy any claim that the Clintons didn't know about Maxwell's crimes.
Maxwell attended Chelsea Clinton's 2010 wedding – by invitation.
She was honored at a 2013 Clinton Global Initiative conference for an ocean conservation project – four years after Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre publicly accused Maxwell of recruiting and grooming her as a teenager.
Doug Band, Clinton's longtime aide, finally sent an internal email in 2011 directing staff to "remove" Maxwell from Clinton event access lists.
But no broad organizational ban was ever communicated.
Maxwell told Justice Department investigators she last saw Bill Clinton somewhere between 2016 and 2018 at a Los Angeles dinner – seven years after the first public accusations against her.
The emails also show Maxwell and Band exchanging messages in the early 2000s that would make a teenage girl blush.
"Booboo, are you around? I am very ill and require immediate medical attention," Maxwell wrote to Band in 2002.
Band replied: "my boobooitis is also reaching epic poportions."
While they played games, Maxwell facilitated connections between Clinton and Epstein.
"The pres wanted me to tell you to tell jeffrey he says hello and he misses him," Band wrote Maxwell in April 2002.
Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's private jet at least 16 times and wrote a thank-you note on Epstein's plane stationery thanking the pedophile for letting him "invade your private space."
And Hillary wants Americans to believe she had no idea who was funding their foundation's flagship project?
She sat on committees that approved deals for Foundation donors, took meetings with major contributors, and watched her top aide coordinate with Foundation staff to arrange access for big checks.
Hillary wasn't in the dark.
She thought she'd never have to answer for it.
Republicans Are Finally Forcing Answers Under Oath
House Republicans voted last month to hold both Clintons in contempt of Congress after they refused for six months to comply with subpoenas.
The Clintons tried every dodge in the book – claimed the subpoenas were invalid, offered written statements instead of testimony, and demanded the contempt proceedings be dropped before they'd cooperate.
Republicans and Democrats on the Oversight Committee told them no.
Nobody is above the law – not even the Clintons.
After the latest document dump showed Maxwell claiming "President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein's friend," those depositions just got nuclear.
The Clinton Foundation now admits it accepted one $25,000 donation from an Epstein-affiliated foundation in 2006 but claims no record exists of other Epstein or Maxwell contributions.
Maxwell arranged the million-dollar payment to the event producer rather than donating directly.
Americans deserve to know where that money came from.
