Radical leftist activists have declared war on Christian worship in America’s bluest cities.
They thought they had Seattle locked down for their anti-faith agenda.
But Seattle’s mayor shocked LGBTQ activists with one decision about Christian worship that left them scrambling.
Christian worship leader faces coordinated leftist attack in Seattle
Sean Feucht knew what he was walking into when he announced his "Revive in ’25" tour would hit Gas Works Park in Seattle.
The Christian worship leader and conservative activist has been fighting the good fight against religious persecution since the COVID lockdowns.
That’s when he launched his "Let Us Worship" movement, protesting the hypocritical restrictions that shut down churches while allowing riots and "protests" to rage unchecked in the streets.
Now he’s back in one of America’s most hostile territories for Christians – and the usual suspects are losing their minds.
Charlette LeFevre, director of Capitol Hill Pride, called Feucht’s worship event "malicious harassment and incitement" against the LGBTQ community.¹
These people can’t stand the sound of Christians singing hymns in a public park.
"This is not what Seattle is about," LeFevre whined to KING 5 News.²
Really? Since when is peaceful worship not what America is about?
Eight Canadian cities already caved to the pressure and revoked permits for Feucht’s tour earlier this month.³
The radical left has a playbook, and step one is always trying to silence Christians through government bureaucracy.
But Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell – a Democrat, mind you – just threw a wrench in their plans.
Mayor defends First Amendment rights despite leftist pressure
Here’s what nobody saw coming: a Democrat mayor in deep blue Seattle actually stood up for the Constitution.
Harrell told the activists exactly what they didn’t want to hear – canceling the rally would violate Feucht’s First Amendment rights.
"The law is crystal clear. You cannot shut down a venue on anticipated speech," Harrell told KING 5.⁴
"Any group under the First Amendment has a right to use one of our public assets, such as a park, to have assembly. That’s embedded in the First Amendment, and we have to respect the First Amendment."
Wait, a Democrat politician who actually remembers the Constitution exists?
The progressive Seattle outlet The Stranger reported that the Lavender Rights Project – a Black transgender feminist group – and 15 community partners are planning a counter-event to combat what they called a "propaganda machine."⁵
Fifteen organizations mobilizing against one Christian worship service.
That’s not grassroots opposition – that’s a coordinated political operation.
These aren’t random concerned citizens showing up to voice their opinions.
This is professional activism funded by leftist organizations that want to intimidate Christians into silence.
Violence already erupted at Seattle religious gathering
This isn’t just about hurt feelings and strongly worded press releases.
We’ve already seen what happens when the radical left decides Christians don’t deserve First Amendment protections.
Violence erupted at another Seattle religious gathering just months ago in May.
The Seattle Police Department arrested 23 people at Cal Anderson Park during a "Don’t Mess With Our Kids" rally and a pro-LGBTQ counter-protest.⁶
According to police, they "witnessed multiple people inside one group throw items at the opposing group."
Officers were assaulted while making arrests, and one required medical treatment.
But here’s the kicker – Mayor Harrell later blamed the Christian rally itself for inspiring the violence.
He claimed "anarchists" had "infiltrated" the counter-protest, as if Christian families gathering for worship somehow forced leftist agitators to throw objects at police.
That’s like blaming a rape victim for wearing a short skirt.
Feucht has faced this targeting before in Seattle.
In 2020, city officials closed Gas Works Park ahead of his planned worship rally, citing COVID concerns.⁷
The same city that was allowing Black Lives Matter riots to burn through downtown somehow couldn’t figure out how to make outdoor Christian worship "safe."
"It was obviously a targeting and discrimination towards believers in the city," Feucht told Fox News at the time.⁸
"There’s just a bias. It’s the height of hypocrisy right now that they’re letting these cities succumb to rioting and burning and pillaging and yet they’re targeting Christians."
Look, here’s what’s really happening
You want to know why 15 leftist organizations are mobilizing against one Christian worship service?
It’s not about "protecting" the LGBTQ community from hearing hymns in a public park.
This is about testing whether Christians will back down when faced with coordinated intimidation campaigns.
The radical left has figured out they can’t ban Christianity outright – yet.
So they use bureaucratic warfare, social pressure, and the threat of violence to make Christians think twice about gathering publicly.
They tried it with COVID restrictions that mysteriously only applied to churches.
They’re trying it now with "safety concerns" and claims that Christian worship somehow constitutes "harassment."
Here’s the brilliant part of their strategy: they get Christians to police themselves.
When faithful Americans see what happened in Seattle – the protests, the arrests, the violence – many will decide it’s not worth the hassle.
They’ll stick to private gatherings, quiet services, anything to avoid becoming a target.
That’s exactly what the left wants.
For folks who still believe America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, this should make your blood boil.
These aren’t random disputes between neighbors with different opinions.
This is a systematic campaign to remove Christianity from public life, one intimidation campaign at a time.
The good news? Feucht isn’t backing down.
"Every single time we come to worship in Seattle, we face many different kinds of resistance," he told Fox News Digital.⁹
"However, as you’ve seen through the five-year history of Let Us Worship, we refuse to back down for anything. Today, in the bluest city in America, the praises of God will be lifted up, and the people of God will gather. This is our right as Americans and this is our call as Christians."
That’s the spirit that built this country.
Here’s the thing that should give every American hope: even in Seattle, the Constitution still matters to some people.
Mayor Harrell may be a Democrat, but he remembered his oath to defend the Constitution.
"Under the First Amendment, the City cannot decline a permit based on the anticipated message of the event or views of the organizers," his office said.¹⁰
If Christians can worship openly in Seattle – one of the most hostile cities in America for people of faith – they can worship anywhere.
The radical left overplayed their hand this time.
They showed their true colors by mobilizing 15 organizations against families wanting to sing worship songs in a park.
Normal Americans can see exactly what this is: religious persecution, plain and simple.
Every time the left tries to silence Christians and fails, they lose a little more credibility with regular folks who still believe in basic fairness.
The question is whether Christians will take the hint and start showing up in even greater numbers.
Because here’s what the left fears most: Christians who refuse to be intimidated.
