President Trump tapped Ed Martin to serve as his DOJ “Weaponization Czar” for good reason.
Martin has been fighting the Deep State’s abuse of power for years.
And Ed Martin exposed a brutal January 6 truth that left one RINO Senator scrambling.
Ed Martin’s nomination hits a roadblock
President Trump nominated Ed Martin to serve as U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., putting him in position to investigate the weaponization of the justice system under the Biden administration.
But Martin’s nomination ran into unexpected opposition from a Republican Senator who should have been supporting Trump’s agenda.
Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) blocked Martin’s nomination after learning about his plans to provide restitution to January 6 defendants who were wrongfully prosecuted.
Martin revealed the shocking details during an interview with Breitbart’s Alex Marlow about why Tillis torpedoed his confirmation.
“This made Tillis a little nervous. He’s like, ‘You’re for reparations.’ I said, ‘I’m not for reparations. I am for restitution,'” Martin explained.
The distinction Martin drew was crucial to understanding his mission.
Martin wasn’t talking about handouts or political payoffs.
He was talking about basic justice for Americans who were railroaded by a corrupt justice system.
The truth about January 6 prosecutions comes to light
Martin laid out the devastating facts about how the Biden administration’s Department of Justice destroyed innocent lives.
“If you put somebody in jail for years and you lied about it, you should have to pay for it, right?” Martin stated. “If you put somebody through the ringer in a way that is unfair and it’s deemed unfair, you should fix it.”
The weaponization czar pointed to the Supreme Court’s ruling that threw out the 1512 obstruction charge that the DOJ used to railroad January 6 defendants.
“Some of these people rotted in jail for three years on January 6th, on a lie that Merrick Garland and Lisa Monaco made up,” Martin declared.
The 1512 charge was the backbone of the DOJ’s cases against hundreds of January 6 defendants.
Former Special Counsel Andrew Weissmann originally created the legal theory during the Mueller investigation, and Biden’s DOJ weaponized it against Trump supporters.
“Andrew Weissmann created it and tried to use it in the Mueller investigation, and then they used it, called the 1512 charge. It was done incorrectly, and a bipartisan Supreme Court threw it out,” Martin explained.
Even liberal Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson agreed the charge was improper.
“Ketanji Jackson said, ‘Yeah, you got to throw that out,'” Martin noted.
DOJ pays off Deep State operatives while ignoring victims
Martin highlighted the stunning hypocrisy of the Biden administration’s approach to justice.
While January 6 defendants languished in jail on bogus charges, the DOJ was cutting sweetheart deals for Deep State operatives who had actually broken the law.
“Strzok and Page got cut a sweetheart deal to get paid because their texts were shown. That happened! They got $2 million because the Biden administration and Merrick Garland paid them off,” Martin revealed.
Former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page received a combined $2 million payout after their anti-Trump text messages were exposed during the Russia investigation.
The same DOJ that imprisoned January 6 defendants for years on false charges handed out a $2 million settlement to corrupt FBI officials.
“This is the ultimate payoff for inside the mob,” Martin stated.
The contrast couldn’t be more stark.
Deep State operatives who plotted against President Trump got rich, while his supporters were thrown in prison based on lies.
Martin vows to pursue justice no matter what
Despite Senator Tillis blocking his nomination, Martin made clear that the fight for accountability isn’t over.
“We’re talking about people that are truly damaged. If you’re damaged, you should be made whole,” Martin declared.
Martin promised to pursue every avenue to expose the truth about DOJ weaponization.
“That’s what’s at stake with weaponization, and we’re going to drive all the way down to the bottom of these things. We’re not going to give up,” Martin stated.
The weaponization czar dismissed concerns about statutes of limitations or other legal obstacles.
“We’re not going to hear ‘statute of limitation is run.’ I don’t give a darn. We’re going to name and shame. We’re going to hold you accountable,” Martin added.
Martin emphasized that many January 6 defendants were released immediately after the Supreme Court threw out the 1512 charge because they were only guilty of misdemeanors.
“Those people that were in jail, as soon as they got that done, they walked, because they were on misdemeanors only,” Martin explained.
The fact that these Americans spent years in prison for charges that the Supreme Court ruled improper shows just how corrupt the Biden DOJ really was.
“That’s so wrong and un-American. We’ve got to get to the bottom of it and make people whole, and we’re going to do it,” Martin concluded.
Senator Tillis may have blocked Martin’s nomination, but the truth about DOJ weaponization will come out.
And when it does, those responsible will face the consequences.
