The smoking gun evidence the FBI refused to examine
Senator Chuck Grassley just declassified a bombshell appendix to a 2018 Justice Department watchdog report that exposes the FBI’s deliberate negligence in investigating Hillary Clinton’s private email server scandal.¹
The newly released documents reveal that a confidential source handed the FBI thumb drives containing State Department data acquired through cyber intrusions – including emails from Barack Obama and other high-ranking officials.
But the feds declined to "comprehensively" analyze those drives due to concerns about individual data caught up in the hack.
Despite an internal draft memo concluding it was necessary to "assess the national security risks" pertaining to Clinton’s private server use, federal investigators declined to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the drives.
The FBI’s excuse? They claimed concerns about individual data caught up in the hack.
That’s like a detective refusing to examine a murder weapon because it might have fingerprints on it.
James Comey’s FBI protected Clinton while targeting Trump
The contrast between how the FBI treated Clinton versus Donald Trump couldn’t be more glaring.
While Comey’s team "left key pieces of evidence on the cutting room floor" in the Clinton investigation, they launched a full-scale assault on Trump based on the now-debunked Steele dossier.
"The Comey FBI’s negligent approach and perhaps intentional lack of effort in the Clinton investigation is a stark contrast to its full-throated investigation of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax," Grassley stated.²
The 91-year-old Iowa Republican didn’t mince words about Comey’s motivations.
"Comey’s decision-making process smacks of political infection," Grassley declared.
During the 2016 election cycle, the FBI Cyber Division had attempted to gain access to the storage devices to conduct focused searches for information related to the Clinton investigation.
They were denied by senior officials.
McCabe even went to Sally Yates, pleading to use the drives for their Russia investigation.
That request was also rejected due to concerns that the FBI’s proposed search methods were overly broad.
Translation: they didn’t want to find what was really on those drives.
Russian intelligence revealed potential corruption – and was dismissed
The newly declassified appendix contains another stunning revelation that shows just how deep the problems ran.
The FBI stumbled upon Russian-language intelligence alleging that Attorney General Loretta Lynch and James Comey were interfering in the Clinton email investigation "to help the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates, respectively."³
Intelligence also claimed that Debbie Wasserman Schultz was running her mouth to George Soros’s people, bragging that the FBI had nothing on Clinton because someone had scrubbed the servers clean "just in time."
But here’s what happened next.
Russian intelligence was pointing the FBI toward potential evidence destruction and coordination – and the Bureau dismissed it as not credible.
Peter Strzok – the same anti-Trump FBI agent whose text messages revealed his bias – was tasked with reviewing the Russian documents and concluded there were no underlying hacked communications included.
Comey himself concluded the documents weren’t credible, with witnesses telling the watchdog that they contained information that was "verifiably false."
The two-tiered justice system on full display
This revelation perfectly encapsulates everything Americans have come to understand about the Deep State’s protection racket for Democrat elites.
The FBI had thumb drives containing potentially damaging information about Clinton’s email scandal – information that included communications from the sitting President of the United States.
They had Russian intelligence alleging a coverup was underway.
The FBI even had their own internal memo screaming that they needed to figure out what national security damage Clinton’s server had caused.
And they ignored it all.
The FBI later launched its Crossfire Hurricane investigation into President Trump, examining whether his campaign coordinated with Russian officials to influence the 2016 election.
The double standard isn’t just obvious – it’s obscene.
Comey also defended his decision not to inform Lynch before announcing his July 2016 statement clearing Clinton, arguing he was concerned the information would leak prematurely.
That exoneration statement came before the FBI had completed interviews with several key witnesses in the case.
Imagine if Trump had received that kind of treatment.
Attorney General Bondi promises transparency
The release of this declassified appendix comes courtesy of President Trump’s new Attorney General, Pam Bondi, who is delivering on promises to restore accountability to the Justice Department.
"I commend Chairman Grassley for his unwavering, years-long commitment to exposing the truth and holding those who seek to conceal it accountable," Bondi said in a statement.⁴
"This Department of Justice is fully committed to transparency and will continue to support good-faith efforts in Congress to ensure accountability across the federal government."
The contrast between Bondi’s approach and the stonewalling Americans endured under previous administrations is night and day.
For years, Grassley has been fighting to expose the truth about the FBI’s partisan handling of the Clinton investigation.
Now, with Trump back in the White House and Bondi leading the Justice Department, that truth is finally seeing the light of day.
What this means for the future
This declassified appendix proves what conservatives have known all along – the FBI under James Comey was a partisan operation that protected Democrats while targeting Republicans.
The question now is whether anyone will be held accountable for this massive abuse of power.
Trump’s Department of Justice has already shown they’re willing to be transparent about past corruption.
The American people deserve to know the full extent of how the Deep State rigged the system against Trump while protecting Clinton.
Chuck Grassley’s dogged pursuit of the truth has given us a glimpse behind the curtain.
