Chris Cuomo thought he was just doing a routine segment about admitting mistakes.

Instead, he got a reality check that nobody saw coming.

And Chris Cuomo opened his phone lines and got one confession from Democrats that left jaws on the floor.

Democrats call in to admit Trump was right

News Nation host Chris Cuomo invited viewers to phone in and discuss what they had been wrong about recently.

The response shocked everyone watching – including Cuomo himself.

Multiple Democrats called the show to confess they’ve changed their minds about President Donald Trump.

These callers weren’t making grudging admissions either.

A woman named Chrissy kicked off the surprising trend by identifying herself as a "proud Democrat" before making her confession.

"I’m not too proud to say that I am wrong about Trump," she told Cuomo during the live broadcast.

Cuomo pressed her for specifics about what changed her perspective.

"Immigration," Chrissy replied. "I’m happy about what’s happening with immigration. I thought the stock market would tank—and I’m pretty happy with my 401(k)."

She added, "There’s a few things that I just thought would go wrong, and I’m very happy."

Cuomo’s producer then revealed this wasn’t an isolated incident.

She told the host that other callers were "saying the exact same thing."

More Democrats praise Trump’s policies

The confessions continued throughout the segment.

Another caller named David also identified as a "registered Democrat" and told Cuomo that people in his party are recognizing that President Trump is "doing something good."

David suggested these acknowledgments from Democrats could help bring the country together.

Cuomo responded by saying Democrats need to explain the things they’ll make better rather than constantly telling the American people why "the other guy is worse."

A third caller named Matty Stu delivered perhaps the most striking admission of all.

"I was wrong to hate President Trump," he said. "And it took October 7th for me to realize that, and him coming into office, and with whatever the Democrats are these days, and the rise of anti-Semitism to make Trump the common sense hero of Israel."

This caller’s reference to October 7th highlighted how Trump’s foreign policy approach has resonated even with Democrats who previously opposed him.

Cuomo acknowledges the political risk these callers are taking

To his credit, Cuomo recognized what these Democrat callers were risking by speaking out publicly.

He warned that these Democrats would probably lose friends for their admission about Trump, since the Left struggles with accepting diverse viewpoints.

"There’s nothing wrong with being happy with results," Cuomo said. "No matter who gives them to you."

This isn’t the first time recently that Cuomo has broken from standard Democrat talking points.

Back in May, Cuomo hammered far-left Democrats and the Squad for ignoring "evil" Islamists in the wake of the vile murder of Israeli embassy staffers by a Palestinian sympathizer.

"Democrats, my brothers and sisters, I understand why you’re worried about Trump. I understand why you call him an ultimate evil, but I don’t agree," Cuomo said. "And if you want the ultimate evil, look at the Islamists, the extreme ones in America, not just Muslims, and mind your dogs who are doing their bidding."

The timing of these phone calls couldn’t be more telling.

What this reveals about the real state of Democrat opinion

These spontaneous confessions from Democrat voters reveal a truth that party leadership desperately wants to hide.

Regular Democrats are witnessing Trump’s results and they approve of what they see.

Trump has delivered on border security by ending the chaos that defined the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies.

The stock market has responded positively to Trump’s pro-business agenda, boosting retirement accounts for millions of Americans.

And Trump’s approach to foreign policy has brought stability to regions that experienced turmoil under Democrat leadership.

The callers represent what could signal a major shift in American politics.

When committed Democrats publicly admit they misjudged Trump, it shows the Democrat Party’s strategy of relentless personal attacks isn’t working with their own voters.

These aren’t Republicans calling to celebrate.

These are lifelong Democrats acknowledging their party misled them about Trump’s actual performance in office.

The question now is whether Democrat leadership will pay attention to their own base or continue doubling down on failed opposition tactics.

History suggests they’ll choose the latter approach – and alienate even more of their supporters.

When Chris Cuomo’s show becomes a venue for Democrats to praise Trump, you know the political winds have shifted dramatically.

The establishment media never anticipated this kind of buyer’s remorse from their own audience.
