California Woman Used Her Dog to Expose One Huge Flaw in Mail Voting That Left Trump Fuming

California’s voting system has been under fire for years.

Critics have warned about massive security holes that Democrats refuse to fix.

And one California woman used her dog to expose one huge flaw in mail voting that left Trump fuming.

Dog Successfully Votes in California Election

Laura Lee Yourex of Costa Mesa thought she’d make a point about California’s laughably weak voting security.

So the 62-year-old woman registered her dog Maya Jean to vote in the 2021 gubernatorial recall election against Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom.

The ballot was accepted and counted.

Maya Jean the dog successfully cast a vote in a major statewide election with zero verification required.

Yourex didn’t stop there – she also had her dog vote in the 2022 primary election, though that ballot was eventually rejected.

Then in October 2024, after Maya Jean had died, Yourex posted another photo showing the dog’s tag next to a mail-in ballot with the caption "Maya is still getting her ballot."

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that proof of residence or identification isn’t required for citizens to register to vote or cast ballots in California state elections.¹

You read that right – California doesn’t require voters to prove they’re actually eligible human beings before letting them decide who runs the state.

Trump Administration Takes Action Against Orange County

The Trump administration has been cracking down on California’s election security nightmare.

The Trump administration filed a lawsuit against Orange County Registrar of Voters Bob Page in June, accusing him of refusing to provide Justice Department records about removing undocumented people from voter rolls.²

Trump has been hammering mail-in ballots as a fraud magnet since taking office.

"We’ve got to stop mail-in voting and Republicans have to lead the charge," Trump told reporters at the White House in August.³

The President pointed out that the United States is virtually the only country that allows widespread mail-in voting without proper verification.

"All others gave it up because of the massive voter fraud encountered," Trump explained.⁴

California’s Voting Circus Gets Exposed

Look, here’s what Yourex accidentally proved about California’s election system – it’s a complete joke.

A woman literally registered her dead pet to vote and the system accepted it without blinking.

This isn’t about one crazy lady with a Facebook account – this is about a state that’s so committed to making voting "accessible" that they’ve made it meaningless.

The Democrat Party has spent years fighting any attempt to verify voter eligibility because they know exactly what they’re doing.

They’ve created a system where literally anyone – or anything – can cast a ballot as long as they fill out the right paperwork.

The fact that Maya Jean’s vote counted in 2021 but got rejected in 2022 tells you everything you need to know about how random and unreliable their verification process is.

Meanwhile, Yourex now faces five felony charges and up to six years in prison for exposing exactly how broken California’s voting system really is.

The state is throwing the book at the woman who proved their security is nonexistent instead of fixing the massive holes she uncovered.

Trump knows that the Democrat Party fights tooth and nail against voter ID laws because they benefit from the chaos.

"Elections can never be honest with mail-in ballots/voting, and everybody, in particular the Democrats, knows this," Trump wrote on Truth Social.⁵

When a dog can successfully vote in your state elections, you don’t have election security – you have election theater designed to let anyone vote as many times as they want.

California’s response to getting caught? Prosecute the whistleblower and pretend the problem doesn’t exist.
