Donald Trump doesn’t hold back when celebrities attack him.
The gloves come off when someone disrespects the office of the presidency.
And Bruce Springsteen was stunned when Donald Trump unleashed this brutal takedown.
Springsteen attacks Trump at overseas concert
Rock icon Bruce Springsteen took a shot at President Donald Trump during a recent concert in Manchester, England.
“The Boss” turned his musical performance into a political platform when he told the foreign audience that “America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.”
The 75-year-old Born in the USA singer didn’t stop there. He urged those in attendance to “rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism, and let freedom reign.”

It’s not the first time Springsteen has attacked Trump. He was a vocal supporter of Joe Biden during the 2020 campaign and has a long history of backing Democrats.
But this time, his comments didn’t go unanswered.
Trump fires back with both barrels
President Trump took to Truth Social to respond to Springsteen’s overseas criticism with a blistering takedown that left jaws on the floor.
“I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States,” Trump wrote. “Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK.”
Trump didn’t hold back, calling Springsteen “dumb as a rock” for supporting Biden, whom he referred to as “a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country.”
In vintage Trump style, he then got personal, referring to Springsteen as a “dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!)” who “ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just ‘standard fare.’ Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”
The heated exchange came as Trump was also engaged in other battles, including posts about the Supreme Court and pop star Taylor Swift.
Celebrity feuds nothing new for Trump
This isn’t the first time Trump has engaged in public disputes with celebrities who criticize him.
Throughout his first term and during both of his presidential campaigns, Trump has been quick to respond to critical comments from Hollywood elites and music stars.
His history of celebrity feuds stretches back even before his political career, with notable spats involving figures like Rosie O’Donnell, Rihanna, and Meryl Streep.
Before entering politics, Trump even raised eyebrows with his commentary on “Twilight” stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. In 2012, he tweeted advice to Pattinson, saying “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again – just watch. He can do much better!”
Despite criticism from some quarters about the tone of his responses, Trump’s supporters appreciate his willingness to punch back against celebrities who use their platforms to attack him – especially when those attacks come on foreign soil.
While some politicians might ignore celebrity criticism, Trump has consistently shown that he won’t let attacks go unanswered, regardless of who they come from.
Springsteen has yet to respond to Trump’s comments, but the exchange highlights the deep political divisions that continue to exist in American culture, with prominent voices on both sides refusing to back down.
