Maher says Democrats need to take action against The View
Bill Maher has never been accused of being a conservative, but even he reached his breaking point with the woke insanity plaguing the Democrat Party this week.
On his HBO show "Real Time," Maher unleashed on ABC’s "The View" after co-host Whoopi Goldberg made one of the most outrageous statements in the show’s embarrassing history earlier this week.
Goldberg actually claimed that life for black Americans is equivalent to women living under Iran’s brutal theocratic regime.
She compared the United States – where a black woman just ran for President and where black Americans have achieved success at every level of society – to Iran, where women are imprisoned for showing their hair.
Maher wasn’t having any of it.
He argued that Democrats should "do something about ‘The View’" after Goldberg’s unhinged rant.
A Republican congressman destroys Goldberg
The controversy erupted during a heated argument between Goldberg and her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin.
Griffin tried to explain Iran’s human rights violations to viewers, pointing out that the regime executes gay people and imprisons women for not covering their hair.
But instead of acknowledging these horrific realities, Goldberg doubled down on her anti-American propaganda.
"Let’s not do that, because if we start with that, we have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car. Listen, I’m sorry, they used to just keep hanging Black people," Goldberg insisted as Griffin pushed back and said the situations weren’t comparable.
Representative Wesley Hunt (R-TX) appeared on Maher’s show and completely dismantled Goldberg’s victim mentality narrative.
Hunt shot down Goldberg’s assessment of life in America for black people by sharing his own remarkable success story.
"My district in the great state of Texas is actually a white majority district that President Trump would have won by 25 points. As I said, I’m a direct descendant of a slave, my great-great-grandfather, who was born on Rosedown Plantation. I am literally being judged not by the color of my skin but by the content of my character," Hunt explained.
The Texas congressman continued with a statement that should shame Goldberg and every other America-hating leftist on television.
"That’s the progress because — like a lot of white people had to vote for me — a lot. So I don’t ever want to hear Whoopi Goldberg’s conversation about how it’s worse to be black in America right now," Hunt declared.
Hunt represents the American Dream that leftists hate to acknowledge
Hunt’s story is everything the radical Left despises because it proves America is still the land of opportunity.
The Texas congressman pointed out that his father, who grew up under Jim Crow, is now the father of a United States congressman in a white majority district who ran as a Republican.
"That’s America," Hunt stated with pride.
Hunt didn’t stop there when defending America against Goldberg’s attacks.
He took aim at the entire grievance industry that Democrats use to divide Americans and keep people dependent on government.
"I don’t want Black History Month. I don’t want all these days to make everybody feel special. I’m an ’80s baby. Everybody’s too sensitive anyway. We’re all Americans anyway," Hunt said.
This is exactly the kind of leadership America needs more of – leaders who focus on what unites us rather than what divides us.
Hunt’s success story represents everything that makes America exceptional, which is precisely why radical leftists like Goldberg can’t stand to hear it.
The View continues to embarrass ABC News
Goldberg’s latest outburst is just another example of how "The View" has become a platform for anti-American propaganda disguised as daytime television.
The show routinely spreads misinformation, promotes conspiracy theories, and attacks anyone who dares to love this country.
Even Bill Maher – who is no friend to conservatives – recognizes that "The View" has become a liability for the Democrat Party.
