America is about to celebrate its 250th birthday next year.
But the Biden administration found a way to corrupt even that sacred milestone.
And a Biden official planning America’s birthday used one anti-American group that will have Trump fuming.
Obama holdover corrupts America’s semiquincentennial celebration
Former Obama administration official Rosie Rios has been quietly working to sabotage America’s 250th birthday celebration next year from the inside.
President Biden appointed Rios to chair the taxpayer-funded America250 commission in July 2022 after removing President Trump’s original chairman.
Rios wasted no time in bringing her radical leftist allies into the planning process.
She tapped the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) as one of five "nonpartisan" groups to help organize the festivities.
But calling NCAI "nonpartisan" is like calling AOC a moderate.
This radical leftist organization has spent decades waging war on American history and traditional values.
NCAI led the vicious campaign to cancel Columbus Day and replace it with "Indigenous Peoples’ Day."
The group celebrated when leftist mobs tore down Christopher Columbus statues across the country during the 2020 riots.
In June 2020, NCAI celebrated the removal of Columbus statues, calling the explorer a symbol of "hate, genocide, and bigotry."
They successfully lobbied California to strip Columbus’s name from a portion of Interstate 10.
And they’ve been pushing schools and communities nationwide to abandon Columbus Day for years.
Anti-American activists get Biden to free cop killer
But NCAI’s assault on American history is just the beginning of their extremist agenda.
The organization also successfully lobbied Joe Biden to grant clemency to Leonard Peltier – a convicted cop killer who murdered two FBI agents in cold blood in 1975.
NCAI president Mark Macarro reportedly pressed President Biden during a flight on Air Force One on December 10, 2024, to free the "remorseless killer."
President Biden granted Peltier clemency on his last day in office, overriding objections from FBI Director Christopher Wray.
The decision sent shockwaves through law enforcement communities nationwide who couldn’t believe a sitting president would free someone who executed federal agents.
NCAI receives millions of dollars in donations from liberal charities like the Ford Foundation and Hewlett Foundation, in addition to $6,740 in contributions from the Democratic National Committee since 2023.
NCAI also spearheaded the campaign to force the Washington football team to abandon the Redskins name.
The group refers to "Redskins" as "the R-word" and condemned President Trump when he called for bringing back the traditional name.
They even had the audacity to claim President Trump’s support for the Redskins name was "an affront to Tribal sovereignty."
Rios brings her Mexican heritage into American celebration
Rios herself has a long history of anti-Trump statements that should have disqualified her from leading America’s birthday celebration.
She claimed "nothing good" could come from President Trump’s presidency and accused him of demonizing "my people" – a reference to her Mexican heritage.
At a 2015 conference, Rios stated she was "as much Mexican as I am American."
Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) called for her removal earlier this year, noting her "track record of extreme partisan bias" against President Trump.
But Rios has continued promoting NCAI’s anti-American narrative through the America250 commission.
Last year, Rios and America250 posted an article titled "Unlearning Columbus Day Myths" that attacked the Italian explorer and dismissed the federal holiday celebrating his achievements.
The article claimed "celebrating Columbus and other explorers like him dismisses the devastating losses experienced by Indigenous Peoples."
This radical messaging puts the commission completely at odds with public opinion and President Trump’s agenda.
Trump fights back against woke historical revisionism
President Trump has made it clear he won’t tolerate this assault on American history.
Earlier this year, he announced the federal government will no longer observe Indigenous Peoples’ Day and will bring Columbus Day "back from the ashes."
On Thursday, Trump signed a proclamation recognizing Columbus Day, declaring: "Columbus Day – we’re back, Italians!"
The American people overwhelmingly support Trump’s position over the radical leftists running the semiquincentennial commission.
A YouGov poll found 69% of respondents said Columbus was an "important part of American history," compared to just 20% who disagreed.
Meanwhile, 43% support a federal observance of Columbus Day while only 23% oppose it.
Trump’s restoration of Columbus Day represents a broader effort to reclaim American history from the woke activists who have spent years trying to destroy it.
The radical Left has been systematically attacking every founding father, every historical figure, and every traditional celebration that made America great.
Look what they’re really trying to do
Here’s what’s really happening with America’s 250th birthday celebration.
The same radical leftists who spent the Trump years tearing down statues and canceling American heroes are now in charge of planning how we celebrate the nation’s founding.
They’re using taxpayer dollars to promote the same anti-American propaganda they’ve been pushing in schools and corporate boardrooms for decades.
For folks who love this country and respect our history, this should be infuriating.
America’s semiquincentennial should be a celebration of the greatest nation in human history – not an opportunity for radical activists to lecture us about "colonialism" and "genocide."
The people planning this celebration think Christopher Columbus was a villain and cop killers deserve clemency.
These are the same people who want to "fundamentally transform America" by erasing everything that made us exceptional in the first place.
If President Trump doesn’t clean house at America250 and remove these anti-American activists, our nation’s 250th birthday celebration will turn into a 250-year apology tour.
The American people deserve better than having their tax dollars used to fund radical leftist propaganda disguised as historical education.
